Hi! I have an employee that I wanted to let use our points for a vacation next year. How would I do that? Would I put the reservation in my name or hers? Is this allowed?

Thank you!!

You have to make the reservation through MS using your points and put that reservation in her name. She will be able to set up her own MY Disney Experience Account using the reservation number and thus she will be able make restaurant reservations, purchase tickets and attach them to the MDE account, and get FastPass+. Note you actually retain control over reservation until the day of arrival, and if she wants a dinning plan, you have to purchase it through MS, and any room requests need to go to MS via you.

I think rules also require to have a contract in place if you rent points. It is not enforced, but it's a good way to make things clearer.
When booking online, there is a checkbox "this guest is not a DVC member". Not sure what it does, some say it prevents the guest accessing your points (like for asking an upgrade at checkin).

But if you are just gifting them the reservation, you don't need any contract.

I have often gifted friends a night or two. If the reservation is in their names, the Magic Express information goes directly to them. I like that. When I have friends staying with me, I have to mail them the luggage tags, just an inconvenience.
