LOA - What happens next?

I just got my LOA and am mailing it out first thing tomorrow! I understand that I should hear from my planner in a week or two, but what happens from there? Will I be sent a package that goes over any extras, or photos of bouquets, cakes, etc? Thanks in advance!

Oddly enough you might get something like that or you may not. Some brides on here have gotten a CD with pictures of the cakes, and possible decor options. And then other brides have gotten nothing. I, to my dismay was one of the nothing brides!

LOA = Letter of Agreement (aka the contract).


lfama - if you're having an Escape wedding, you'll get an info packet (usually in an email) from your planner that lets you select your cake style, bouquet style, songs, etc.

Meg - for some reason, it seems to only be the Wishes couples who get varying degrees of info... we didn't get the Cake CD either!

We've received the Cake CD and the Wedding Pavilion Song CD in a single packet for our Wishes wedding. We have been unsure about hiring an organist for our wedding, and the song CD has been helpful in that respect.

We're doing an Escape wedding, and it was about 3 weeks after DFTW received the LOA before we heard from our planner. She emailed us a zip file containing all this helpful planning information and emailed menu suggestions for places to eat after the ceremony.

To the OP

My deposit got to DFTW tuesday night, and I have a coordinator, and have been given all the emails with cake, songs, etc this morning. (I am an Escape)
