I need some lunch ideas becauseI find that weekends are tough. During the week we are so busy, that I will just grab a shake or a burger on the run (no bun). On the weekends, I have more time but I don't want to blow all my carbs at lunch time, so I need a few lower carb ideas. What do you eat at lunchtime?

I wasn't sure if you meant eat out or make lunch
how about crab meat rolled up in bacon strips cut in half & broiled
that's pretty quick to make
sometimes I make a quick stirfry for lunch too
chicken, chicken broth, soy sauce, spices, veggies

I like BLTs: a leaf of romaine lettuce spread with mayo and topped with a couple of thin slices of tomato and bacon.

I also try to keep tuna salad made up and eat it on romaine leaves also. I like pickle and onion in mine so I weigh up one ounce of onion and put it through the little food processor until it is finely minced and I use a couple of tablespoons of dill relish for the pickle. Sometimes I will put bacon and a slice of swiss cheese on this for my husband, he loves it that way.

Deviled eggs are easy and so is egg salad.

Sometimes we have breakfast for lunch. Like mock french toast and sausage or bacon. Also, the bacon, lettuce, tomato wrapped in lettuce. I'm not sure if can have bread. We can on SBD (whole grain wheat of course) but I make grilled cheese sandwiches from time to time. I hope this helps.

One of our favorite lunches

boil up a chicken breast and make a chicken salad, spread on a piece of ham and roll up - you can also put in a piece of american cheese if you want extra carbs/fat.

We sometimes mix eggs, cheese, ham and/or bacon and/or sausage, lots of veggies like onions, green peppers, etc. and bake it in the oven like a casserole. I can find a more specific recipe if you need one.

OOOh I thought of another one
I make the pizza from the recipe sticky on this board
sometimes on the weekend
add lots of toppings pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, etc

Lots of good suggestions on the Eating Healthy subboard! I also try at least one different recipe a week on this board and other low carb boards to keep the variety going.

Oooh, Kathy, that sounds yummy. I'm going to have to try that :)
