LLSP for DVC members?

I just wanted to double-check. I recently tried to book LLSP for 3 members of our party 7 days before check in to our resort. One person could book without any problem, however for the other two, I got a message that they couldn't book until 3 days before check-in. DH and I are the DVC members, these are our DDIL and DGDs. When I called, I was asked if I'd booked this as part of a package. But when I explained "No", I was told that none of them could book until 3 days before check-in since we were "resort only", this was the DVC booking way. What?! Yet, one of our DGDs was able to book 7 days out. Finally he just said "Refresh your page and try again." Now they're all the owners of 3 LLSP booked 7 days out. Am I correct that he initially gave me incorrect information? Or is this 3 days out for DVC really true, and everyone has just accepted it (which I doubt)?

Wrong information. Any one who is on a WDW reservation, including DVC, can book starting 7 days before check in, as long as they have valid tickets.

I had no issue doing it for our August trip with a mix of AP and regular use tickets.

So, when you refreshed it let you buy for them? Sounds like "just another Disney IT glitch" to me! Or as DH and I like to say, a temporary disturbance in the Force.
