LL Bean Discounts

Does LL Bean ever offer discount codes? When we were at WDW over Thanksgiving I saw a family that all had bright colored duffle bags with their names on them and I wanted to order some for us. I have been watching their website for awhile but I haven't seen any sales or discounts offered. Does anyone shop here? Do they ever offer any good deal or discounts? They have a place at check out for coupon code so I am guessing it does happen. Anyone know of any deals now? Thanks in advance!

The only discount I'm aware of is typically associated with the LL Bean Visa Card. I have this, and you can earn $10 coupon dollars once you rack up enough charges on the Visa. It also gives you free shipping and monogramming.

Having said that, I think I saw free shipping for the general public for a week or so before Christmas.

Unless you have their VISA card you can usually only get a free shipping code, if you search on here you might find one. There's usually one floating around most of the time.

Those bags you're referring to are nice, BTW. I have one, I don't use it for traveling (no rollers on it) but it's great for camping. And it's typical LLBean quality.

nice thing about LL Bean bags and also Lands End bags.......they last forever....we are using our sons back pack and he graduated high school in 88....yup good stuff

Thanks for your replies everyone. I never even knew what LL Bean was until I saw those bags and asked them where they got them. It's great to know they are excellent quality. It makes paying more for them a lot easier.

Now to answer your question...I am looking at the rolling duffle bags, I guess I want the medium ones? I looked at the measurements on the website and noticed that the large is over the size maximum that Delta allows. Demensions mean nothing to me , I am not good with stuff like that. I am looking for 2 in bright colors. One for me and one for my son. I was thinking the bright blue ( turquoise ) and lime green or purple but any of the bright colors would work. Thanks so much for offering to do this for me !

Sorry! It's the large I want and it's called the rolling adventurer duffle. It's the extra large that's too big.

I know that LL Bean, Lands End and Eddie Bauer normally send out sale books towards the end of each season. I don't recall any of the luggage type items being included in that. LL Bean makes great stuff! We have backpacks and briefcases that we have had forever. My snow boots are from Bean, and I had a pair of LL Bean dress shoes for about 15 years!

Agreed, I don't think these duffles are something that ever go on sale but I could be wrong!!

Your best bet for something like that is the outlet store. I bought a large rolling backpack with an attached smaller backpack at the outlet store for about $69 and its great. As I recall it was almost $200 if you bought it through the catelog. I've had it now for 8 years and its one of the best pieces of luggage I've ever bought. Also, if you buy your children's back packs there they guaranty them for life. Any problems just bring it back and they'll give you a new one.

They do have a sale section on their webpage. If your're not too picky about colors, it's worth checking. Anytime they're discontinuing a color, or modifying a product (change the zipper style) they put the old items on the sale page.

Does Subaru give out LL Bean luggage if you buy an LL Bean edition vehicle? I know Ford used to give out Eddie Bauer luggage with the Explorer EB edition. Just curious if Subaru did the same.

Good budget idea! Buy a car to get luggage! If I could only convince dh of that one.
Oh and thanks for the reminder I was able to order 4 polos for the kids(matching pink for easter- the boys will love it.....) for only $8! Using my 4 coupons from the card.

I have not seen these bags go on sale, however, LL Bean has outlet stores - and the one in my town, Ellsworth, seems to have them a lot! There's also an outlet store in Bangor, and one in Freeport (maybe there are others - I'm sure other Mainers will chime in!).

I wonder if you could call around to those stores and have them ship one to you? I called the Bangor store last weekend to see if they had dog bed mattresses - paid $45 for a $70 bed! I didn't need it shipped since I live 30 min. away, so I don't know if they will. But it's worth a shot!
