This is my first try on a message board so forgive me if I mess it up!!!

Does anyone know if they have renovated the Living Seas Tank and Ride? When we were there in 2004, my once favorite ride looked yucky! We are hoping it is redone for this summer. Anyone know?

They took out the ride quite a few years ago. The rumors have it that the ride is coming back. They are due to close for renovations in the Spring.

I don't know the full answer but it was open and we went to see it in April '05, then when we went in Sep't '05 it was closed. When we just went two weeks ago the construction walls outside the building were still up but the weekly sheet said it was open...although we didn't actually go inside.

In Dec. it was half open. Can't wait for it to be done.

I hope that they do something with it because right now (as of Dec. 1, 2005) it was not as pleasant to go in as it has been in years past. I would love to see what they are projected to be doing to the attraction to improve it.

When we were there last week, the hydrolators were gone!! You just walked through sliding doors from the outside into the aquarium part. They moved the store around a little bit too.

Is it Better/Updated ??
Just Curious.....
Lots of New Things We Will Notice ? Or not really ?? :scratchin

If the hydrolators are gone, how do you get down to the underwater observation levels?

The hydrolators didn't go any where, they gave the illusion of movement. I hope WDW does something fun with Living Seas, as it stands now, if it weren't for Turtle Talk, I might skip this attraction all together.

Epcot could really use another cool attraction.

Rumor has it that the old underwater submarines are coming back (but no one knows for sure) I personally hope so, i remembered them from childhood visits, and when i took DH for the first time, talked about how cool it was. They were gone and he was SO dissapointed! (he was a marine biology major in college).I felt so bad. :(

When on our aqua seas tour last week we were backstage behind the living seas building and there was a large area of ride vehicle bases. the CM told us these were going to be used in a new Nemo themed ride that is currently under construction in the half of the pavillion that is currently closed (the old entrance- probably where the sea cabs once were).

Right now you just walk through a door and you're there.

You mean the Hydrolators wern't real !!!!!!! :rolleyes1

The living seas as it is now is sorely lacking and if it wasn't for Crush, would not be worth going to.

The CM's there a couple of weeks ago also said that the ride will be back in place as a Nemo attraction. I hope so as right now it's just a shell of it's former self.

It was awful last week. There's NOTHING there but Turtle Talk now. It's become a big playground. No more ride. No more hydrolators. No more movie. Like most everything else in Epcot - They're just ruining it.

Think about it:

Universe Of Energy - Become a boring, unfunny, waste of 45 minutes.
World Of Motion - Gone.
Horizons - Gone.
Wonders Of Life - Gone.
Living Seas - Ruined by a Pixar film.

If they touch Spaceship Earth, they might as well just change the name of the place too.
