living seas for reception

Has anyone had their reception at the living seas? If so, do you have any photos? I am really liking the idea more and more. There is no time stipulation, it is private from the restaurant, awesome aquarium viewing, and you can have your music playing loud! woohoo! (we are big dancers so this is important)

I would love to see photos of actual receptions if you have them!!!! Thanks!

How Exciting!!!! I look forward to reading all about it!!! What are you doing for chairs? Are you staying w/ the modern chairs already in there or something different?

We're keeping the chairs as they are... they fit with our blue theme, and I dont think anyone will really notice that they're not really "wedding-ish".

You can get banquet chairs and chair covers, but that can get really expensive if you have a large group.

I know! I couldn't believe how expensive switching out chairs could be. I'm thinking of keeping the chairs that are already in there and maybe bringing in my own material and maybe adding a sash around them.

What colors are you using? I'm going w/ a dark brown and light blue accent. So, the colors should look really nice in the salon.

My colors are different shades of purple and I'm afraid the chairs won't look good with it. I'm not sure if I will need chair covers or not, but I think I'll decide that after we take a look at the location during our PS.

i think those colors will look great, they coordinate with the colors already in there! my reception will be there next week. i'll post pics when i get back!

Catherine, your colors will look great! I dont think you'll need chair covers at all. If you do, you cant just cover the existing chairs, you need to rent banquet chairs and then get chair covers

Really? Thats ridiculous! and very sneaky... Alright - we will be using the exisiting chairs then.
