Living in WDW and the Parks: Impossible?

You do realize that they sweep the parks after closing with really big German Shepherds don't you? Last year, they had a special dog thing at DTD. I talked to the security people and got to meet one of the dogs. The main security place where they keep the dogs is behind MK. I've seen a bunch of them there. I don't think I'd want to be in a place I wasn't supposed to be when they came through. Talk about losing the magic!
Really?? I never knew that! :confused3

A few years ago a radio station in Tampa (93.3 WFLZ) Their morning show "MJ" is a character! He sent one of his sidekicks "Fester" over to Sea World to spend the night. The following morning this guy calls into the station to report on all that goes on during the night.
Listeners started calling Sea World Security and telling them that there was someone from the station that was in the park, had spent the night and was currently giving a "report" from his cell phone!
Needless to say, Security was NOT HAPPY! They then hunted him down and with the help of Orange County's finest, he was escorted out of the park.

It's true. The security person I talked to was one of the dog handlers. He told me they sweep each park after closing and all but the night crews have left. I doubt they just turn the dogs loose. The security people and the dogs probably walk the parks and check each building.

If you ever want to see where they keep them, take the road that goes behind Space Mountin near the Contemporary. It will lead you to a back area where they service the monorails and the train. Disney Security is there along with Disney University and a bunch of other things.

Oh, yea, I know that area. Seen it on Video recently. :thumbsup2 I would be too afraid I would get caught, and besides, WHERE would I sleep? Also, how long does it take them to do this? I mean, say the Park closes at 12, everyone is suppose to be out by 1 or 2 am right? When do they patrol and how long do they take? Is there like a LOT of them for EACH park or what? :confused3

OP: I think it could be done, defenitly. I'd do it- HANDS DOWN! :)

Please, I *hope* you're joking. Don't even consider it! When my friend and I did this, it was way back in the 80's and things are much different now in regards to security. Even back in the 80's this proved to be a horrrible time that I'd never want to repeat. Definitely nothing fun about it! :sad2:

I can imagine how awful this would be. The parks are bound to change a lot and look really plastic when the lights come on and the crews come out.

have any of you read From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankwheeler?

These two kids live in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY City.....

It must be like 30 years since I read that book.

OK, back on topic, if I had thought of this back when I was 20, I might have tried it. I have stayed at Coronado Springs 3 times, and have senn people sleeping in the hammocks by the lake at all hours of the day/night. So, I could definitely see being able to spend the night at some of the resorts. You just need enough cash to survive and a place to keep your stuff (or likely keeping a limited volume of things in a backpack).
