Living in Elvis-land

It's "dead Elvis week" around here. It's the 25th anniversary of Elvis's death, and Memphis is going nuts! hehehe. I live about half an hour from Graceland. Elvis has been all over the newspapers here all this week, with tribute events happening all over the place. Apparently, even in death, he is still the richest celebrity out there. Dad and I went downtown the other day to see West Side Story at the Orpheum, and we passed a car that said "I Love Elvis" in the window, also a family wearing all Elvis t-shirts. hehe. I read something about a big party that will even include Disney characters- I'm assuming Lilo and Stitch.

Oh boy do I hear you AngieBelle, DH and I refer to this week as when the nuts come to town. And isn't it shameless the way the local paper splashes Elvis across the top of the front page just to sell papers
