HELLO EVERYONE, I'm brand new to the board, I used to have an account over at WDWMagic but then I switched over to here, But anyways I noticed a few months ago A guy was living at the World for a year, and he had his own website, but i forgot to add it as a favorite, anyone know the site? THANKS A LOT

Hello! Welcome!! :sunny:

I think you are talking about Jupelo19.com. Unfortunately, the young man who ran the site appears to have shut it down completely. He has a blank HTML page with no code whatsoever as his main website now. He shut it down a couple of weeks ago. Something went wrong with his endeavor, and rumors were flying as to why. Some thought he wasn't who he said he was, and some thought he just got in over his head. No one knows if he'll be back or not. :(

seems like a interesting idea, too bad I missed the site.

shame I actually enjoyed watching his trips and trying to figure out where he was and what he was doing.

Sounds interesting. I missed that completely.

That had to be an expensive proposition!!!!!

When we first bought into the DVC, we were transferring our luggage from the BC to OKW, for our first DVC stay. The bellman who came up to get our stuff told us about his parents, who lived in Ohio. They bought enough DVC points to stay in a 1BR unit for 3 months. What they did was arrive in Orlando on January 1 and stay till March 31. It was the ideal arrangement for them because they had gotten their points at his CM discounted rate, they stayed in Orlando for the worst of the winter months, they visited with their son and his family, they had a beautiful condo unit to stay in...they were at OKW, and when the 3 months were up, they walked away wothout have to worry about who was going to watch the place, take care of maintenance etc. Plus, the points ocst them what it would have cost them to buy something down there, and when they died, they could will them to their children, one of whom was the CM, but they had other children who did not live in the area, so they were giving their kids the gift of vacations.

I want to be them. ;)

DisneyDoll - that idea they had sounds so great! I wish I'd have had the foresight to buy when I could back in 1997. My family talked me out of it (they're not as crazy about the Mouse as I am). We stayed then at BWV in a 1-bedroom villa and all I could think of how great it would be to just live there.
