So we get home tonight (my sister drove) & there's a bright orange sticker on my car. At first I thought that maybe they mistakenly thought I had parked in a reserved parking space. To my surprise it was something else.
Here's what the sticker read:
Your car has been tagged because of a:
(X) Invalid Inspection.
If this problem isn't fixed by 4/12/03, your car will be towed from our apartment complex.
My inspection expiration was the end of March. Most of you know about my work situation & I've been waiting for this credit card to arrive so I could take care of the minor things like that while reserving my actual cash for rent, etc. They also tagged the cars of a couple elderly couples in our building as well.

Meanwhile there's a message from them asking if there's any problems with the apartment. The first maintenance call was made when we moved in May of 2000. Granted I didn't pester them, but I figured that 2 calls should be the most I'd have to make. And since then other things have needed maintenance. Every lease renewal I brought it up & got a "ok, we'll make a note of it."
A few months ago we received a survey call about the apartments. I told them that I feel safe here but that they have horrible follow-through on maintenance calls. So I guess they decide that if they're going to act like this they better get their act together as well.
