It was posted on another thread that they are selling yellow bracelets that look like the Lance Armstrong "Livestrong" bracelets in the parks. The have mickey head all around the bracelet. Has anybody seen these and can you tell me where to get them?

We bought several at MK at the Emporium - the big store right on Main Street. They have yellow, lime green, red and maybe black. No words on them, just mickey heads. They cost $2.00. They are a GREAT souvenir to bring back for the kids' friends!

They sound very cute, I'll definately be investing :goodvibes

I think the "big Mickey" is just the tag. If you look closely, you can see the small Mickeys all over the bracelet. They are kind of cute.

I can't believe that I didn't see those when we were there last week! I would have bought one! Oh well, it gives me a reason to go back. :)

Out of curiosity, are the proceeds from the purchase going to a cause like the Livestrong ones do, or are they just another piece of Disney merchandise?

My assumption is the only cause these are going to is Disney's bank account. But I do think the lime green one would be a great DIS Boards identifier!

The lime green ones could be good for DIS members!

I'll be wearing a bright pink wristband during my summer trip. I just got some yesterday - Breast Cancer Care charity here in the UK. But maybe I'll add a Mickey one too just for fun ::MickeyMo

Thanks for the post. I think they are very cute. I'll definitely be taking home a few for family and friends and a lime green one for me!!

They are cute but I think the $$ should be going to charity, ie Lance Armstrongs original idea. I also liked the original intent to raise awareness in addition to money for the various causes, cancer, breast cancer etc. Around here we have several in various colors but all are for a charitable cause - even the red sox bracelets that are very popular are to support the jimmy fund.

I will have to think twice before purchasing this particular souvineer - or perhaps make a contribution on my own should I decide the girls can have one.

No - biggie but just my .02

Add my .02 to that as well. They can, of course, make whatever souviniers they wish - but I personally think they shouldn't do them to mimic the Livestrong just for Disney to make an extra buck. They should at least do them in red, black & yellow - Mickey colors. The Lance Armstrong bracelets go to support cancer research and clinical trials - ---- Clinical trials that literally saved my life.

:cheer2: I was going to post these same thoughts earlier..more and more places are npow making these bracelets to profit themselves :sad2: which I think stinks! I proudly wear my livestrong bracelet and another that supports the tomorrow fund (support for families of kids with cancer) from our local childrens hospital

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with this statement. I'd never buy one of these. I hate that Disney is copying something that was originally developed to raise funds for cancer research, just to make more money for themselves! :sad2:
