We are looking to get married at sea breeze point but lots of our family cant make it and would love to see it via webcam. How is this possible at an outdoor venue? Can you connect to interent? Power?
Were looking to get a outside videographer to organise this for us but wondered if anyone had done this before? Also will they be able to hear/see us very well? Can you talk to them after the cereminy? Thanks

If you wanted to do it yourself, you'd probably need to get one of those external anywhere wireless cards that some of the cell phone companies offer. Powerwise, I would guess there's probably some kind of power outlet nearby to plug in to but if you get a full charge on your laptop, it should last the duration of the ceremony.

If you want to make sure your webcam viewers can hear you, it would be best to get an audio system with speakers and having you and your DF microphoned so you're loud enough for the webcam's mic to hear you.

That would be my best guess if you don't want to hire a videographer. There is a guy name Lou Mongello that has done a 24 hour webcast all over the parks with one laptop. You might want to find him on facebook and ask him how he does it. HTH

Don't bother asking Lou! :rotfl: we had stvs do it as an add on and it went very well, family saw and heard everything great! It's not interactive, you could wave at them or hold up a sign bur you can't hear or see them with that service.

Now you or a family number could stream it yourself but although not difficult per se it is involved and doubtful the quality would be there but you could interact if wanted. Face time (apple) or ustream would be places to start. I'm sure uf you google "how to live stream" alot will come up for you! I know I've seen thus addressed on more than one DIY wedding site. You will need the device/mic (iPhone/laptop) and a wifi connection.

HTH!

Are you a fellow box person? Did you see the kitchen sink ice cream eating contest? omg!
hehe sorry, i'm a total geek for Lou. I'm trying to hint to my family that instead of getting us a bunch of gifts, that they all pitch in for one gift of having a Lou Mongello guided tour in the parks.
