Live update from the Fort

Well, it's 9:36 pm on Wednesday June 20th. It's a hot, muggy night. Sure glad our camper has A/C!!!

To those who are tent camping, you are better people than me! I couldn't handle this heat and humidity without some good, old-fashioned A/C.

I hear some serious rain is in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon/evening. We'll try to fit in the Magic Kingdom before the rain hits. Hey, the worst day at the Fort is better than the best day at home!!!

Are the canoes operating???? Is the water back under the bridge?

Can you give me a sample list of the daily activities in the fort and the times (i.e.bingo, volleyball, crafts)? We are coming July 1 and it is driving me crazy not having a general idea of the day to day activities.

Extra Magic Hours rule!

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 8:00 a.m., we hit the flying Dumbo ride 1st thing (10 minute wait), then we hit Peter Pan (no wait), then It's a Small World (no wait), then Mickey's Philharmagic (10 minute wait in air conditioned hall), then the carousel (no wait), then Snow White's Scary Adventure (no wait), then used Fast Pass at Winnie the Pooh (no wait). We mixed in some stops for snacks and a stop at Ariel's Grotto then hit Liberty Square (the Hall of Presidents was closed due to technical difficulties) and made it back to the Fort by noon!

The Extra Magic Hours let us cruise through 3 rides in the 1st hour (including the hike from the front gate to Fantasy Land). Great benefit to staying at the Fort!
