Well I guess that is one good thing about a possible hurricane, no one in the parks :goodvibes

Well, Im back from the MK. What a day! That is somewhat good and somewhat bad.

First off, I got into the park around 2:00 (it's been such a dreary day and I just was moving slowly). My wife stayed back at the hotel due to the threat of rain, so I went on, hoping to get some cool pics and rides with short waits.

At 3:00 I watched the "new" parade. All I can say is, "dont waste your time". Im so disappointed. I liked the Share a Deam Come True Parade, and support change but, my question is, if they were not going to go all out, why change it at all? Im feel that a change like this, is just "un-disney".

Literally the parade is the same as the former one, just without the globes on the floats, and I liked the previous music better.

Anyways, moving on................the park today was DEAD! I dont mean somewhat dead, I mean REALLY dead! The parking lot only had 2 parking lots used that I could see, Minnie was full and Goofy was about 10 rows filled and that's it!
!

DD and I headed over to MK this afternoon about the same time as you! You are not kidding it was DEAD... .never before have I seen only 1 1/2 parking lot filled. It was great - nothing had a wait with the exception of Peter Pan... still had 20 minutes! DD rode BTMRR 11 times only having to exit and re-enter twice in all those rides!!

The weather held off until somewhere between 4 & 5 (we were in Liberty Tree for dinner, and realized it was raining upon exiting!)

We had a great time -one of our best days at the park... we like the spur of them moment visits. If she would not have had school tomorrow...we may have stayed a bit longer - we headed out of the park around 7pm.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your visit!

Glad you had a great day today! Sorry your wife didnt go with you. It's not often that MK is so dead.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures later tonight or tomorrow!

Still working on them. I didn't have an attatchment for the laptop that I needed, since I've never transferred my photos like this on the road, so I hope to get some photos up shortly but tomorrow it will be much quicker and I'll get most all of them up by tomorrow.

Here is the start of the photos. I'll be posting them as I can get them on.

Please remember, these photos are unedited as I can't post process here at the hotel. I will be crispening them up at a later time and posting them on www.disneyworldpics.com.

Okay - I'll put the popcorn away . . . See you tomorrow! Have fun on Everest tomorrow! And don't forget to give your tips for doing this park!

I saw some photos and this was my assessment from the photos alone. I'm glad to have a second opinion. Will SO be skipping this one.

After the parade I went to Tomorrowland and went to Buzz Lightyear. On the way, I noticed that Stitch had NO WAIT. When I got to Buzz, it also had NO WAIT! That's right, no wait at Buzz.

When I got on Buzz LIghtyear I noticed a famous athlete in front of me (in the car in front of me). I am a sports fan and dont miss sports celebrities. Last trip I saw Kenny mayne of ESPN, but back to the ride.

Anyways, the athlete was Detroit Pistons star Rasheed Wallace. He was there with a woman that looked like his wife, and possibly his wife's sister, along with about 4 kids. He had a Disney CM with him (obviously hired or provided by Disney) and he took them on the rides and got him in wi..th no waits. For Buzz, he came in the side door and walked right in front of me to get on the ride. After the ride he went out a special door, which simply went to the public areas outside (I didnt see the point in that).

I got a couple pictures of him which will be posted tonight hopefully. Unfortunately he didn't seem to be a very friendly person. I noticed a couple of people tried to talk to him and he wanted nothing to do with it (it seems as though his public reputation may be reality, unlike many celebrities).

After the ride, he walked to a bench and sat down by himself while his family went on the Astro Orbiter. About 20 minutes later they walked towards the Indy Speedway, and that was the last I saw him.

While on Buzz, the ride broke down and we sat there for 15 minutes. They turned on the house lights and sort of ruined the effect. They had to completely reset the ride, including turning off the power to the ride vehicles.

After this, I went to Space Mountain. Again NO WAIT! Absolutely none! I rode this and when I got out it began to rain (which I knew was a matter of time).

I headed over to Haunted Mansion - againl, No WAit and then I headed over to Splash Mountain with again NO WAIT! In fact, I had my own log, as most people did. It was seriously deserted about now. The rain was now coming pretty heavily and the park was clearing out. I decided around 4:30 to head back to the hotel. So, I packed up and left, drenched and dripping.

As has been mentioned, when entering the MK on the monorail the new Jack Sparrow spiel has been included on the monorail in place of where Stitch used to make alot of noise.

As much as I hope the parks make tons of bank (that's what keeps them open, after all), I hope that they stay somewhat moderately crowded (or uncrowded) through next week.

And, of course, can't wait to hear my boyfrien...er, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow's voice on the Monorail.

This is a great photo! DD and I were watching the parade at the first read banner on the right of the picture. It's a small world!!!!

Sew far nice pictures. Sounds like you had an ok day. Today should be better. Have fun, I will be coming down tonight. We will be visiting long time friends that moved down two years ago. I might go to DTD tomorrow, while my firend works and the DH's golf.

Very nice!

I'm not sure I'd like to get on everything with no wait though - the odd attraction is nice, but in a way it's nice to wait and get excited about what you're going on first!!

Here is Rasheed Wallace from Yesterday. Rasheed plays for the NBA's Detroit Pistons.

He was leaving from Buzz Lightyear

just a quick note about Rasheed Wallace. Unfortunately, he did not seem to be friendly AT ALL. He dismissed anyone who tried to talk to him and would turn away from kids that went up to him. At one point he was sitting down on a bench by himself and a kid walked by him and asked him if he was Rasheed Wallace (I was very close to him, while trying to get a picture), and without saying anything, he just turned his head in the other direction.

Today's morning report:

Well, I planned on getting up to go to AK early to ride EE. However, I slept in (sorry!). I will be hitting it up tomorrow morning.

Today is beautiful in Orlando! Sun is out! So, my wife will want to go to the MK today. So, it's back to MK, and maybe Epcot both today. If you guys have any photo requests, get to em! Im still working on the Splash Mountain drop. I got a nice photo but it's too dark. I'll have to ride it again and get a better photo.

More updates later!

Well, although I think there is no excuse to be RUDE>> I certainly cannot blame him for having a private family moment in a very public place.

I just do not see the value of taking a picture of the back of someone's head just to prove that you saw a celebrity. Did you have his permission?

I think if he was in a parade or signing autographs it is one thing. But to take a picture while he is trying to treat his children to DisneyWorld is disrespectful.

Sorry, just my 2 cents... other than that, I am enjoying your report and pics.
