Live Trip Report: The go home part (Sept 8, 2016)

The volume on the parade seems to be going down. Does that mean it's almost over? How long is this parade? I think we're approaching the century mark.

Sure would be neat if the fireworks would start before I pass out in the balcony.

I should have grabbed popcorn on the way out! That would have made this perfect.

There should be a monorail that rides out to Epcot and stops. The chairs then turn sideways and the sides of the monorail pop up, kind of like gullwing doors. Film this vantage point, you get to watch illuminations. Then, when the show is over, it swings over to magic kingdom and does the same thing for the fireworks. Charge a certain price, like the dessert thing to keep numbers limited. Call it the Dream Catcher package, or something to that end.

Did I miss the show? Did I nod off at some point and the fireworks happened? I think I've been rooked.

Good morning everyone! It looks like I have plans today that involve Hollywood Studios and a bit of Epcot. I think I'd like to get a delicious croissant donut at some point as well, and perhaps some other treats in the World Pavilion. I'm still going through all the motions of waking up (I'm not much of a morning person), so it may be a little bit before the motor is running and we're moving around. It looks like a beautiful day outside right now. It's sunny and warm and very few clouds out there. Let's see how the weather holds up.

Sounds like you had a good time back at MK, I've never understood the lines for PP, it's cute and I ride it if I had a FP but I wouldn't wait in line for it. Did you get to see the FWs or did you nod off? 76 would be too cold for me, anything below 79 and I'm freezing. Have a good day at HS and Epcot, my two favorite parks.

No fireworks. Maybe they went off earlier when I was dealing with the air conditioning issue and maintenance. Maybe tonight? And you would hate my apartment at night. If it's not at least 70 (preferably 68) I have a hard time sleeping.

On the mono to TTC and on to Epcot. The monorail is light on people at the moment. Is everyone back in school now?

I must have missed the memo about whatever they were giving away for free at Epcot. The line to get into the park may be the longest line I've been on so far.

I'm through the madness! It must be first timer day at Epcot because everyone seemed to need biometrics done. First stop, restroom.

It's more than a little disturbing how many people don't wash they're hands after using the bathroom.

Much like the Little Mermaid, the stand-by time is just an estimate of how long it takes to get through the empty line. I want to tell people to save their fast passes for something else. The ride didn't photo well, but the fish do.

Mission accomplished! Croissant donut has been devoured, and it was just as amazing as I remember. The outer layer is crispy, while the inner layers are wonderfully soft. On to Hollywood Studios.

The boat to Hollywood Studios is just now boarding. Perfect timing and a good moment to cool off.

Somehow I got into buying handkerchiefs. I couldn't tell you how, it just kind of happened. They really are incredibly useful to have. In the Florida heat, I use them primarily to wipe off sweat. It beats having it just clinging to you until it dries and leaves that salty film. I have some cheap white cotton ones that I picked up at target for nose duties that are super soft. How did we get away from these things?
