We are at US and IOA now, we arrived yesterday (Friday) morning. The moving platform was working at HRRR yesterday. It was closed when we got there (around 12) but opened around 1:15 and we waited about 25 minutes and got in the first seat (didn't plan for that!)!! But the big thing is the moving platform was working and it seemed to go quite well. I well post tonight if it was working again today and if they opened the Express Lane.
We had a great time yesterday and are staying at the HRH. In 6 hours we went to both parks, low crowds, nice weather, and did everything we wanted to. Its supposed to rain later today but I have our ponchos ready. :)

I'm hoping the Express line will be open for our trip at the end of May!!!!

Thanks for the live report!!! Awesome you didn't have much of a wait!

I'm heading over now, mostly to check out the Horror Makeup Show for awhile and perhaps do some stuff at the Studios. I'll be checking out HRRR. Interested to see if the moving walkway is working.

EDIT: The lines were too long for me. Around 10AM, it was a 60 min wait with no single rider (guy said it wouldn't be open at all today). I came back around 2PM after eating lunch and single was open. I only had about 20-30 minutes to spare (did all 8 Horror Makeup Shows, just had 45 minutes between two shows to spare) and the line was all the way down the stairs so I didn't get the chance to check it out. I saw the line fluctuate between 30, 45, and 60 minutes (according to the time board).

Sounds awsome and hope we will be able to ride HRRR this year since it didn't open last year until 2 months after we were there

Yeah the tickets from Kroger were fine. Except it says on the ticket to go to the ticket window and exchange for tickets but when I did that, they said that WAS the ticket. So, I wasted a few minutes.
Today was a great day, crowdwise, it did rain for a few hours but not the thunderstorms. I got a waterproof thing for my son's cast and we were fine. There were no lines and we rode everything we wanted more than once. Granted, we had the express pass, but even without it the longest line I saw was HRRR and that was 60 minutes and Spiderman was 25 minutes (but that was a fluke crowd, the rest of the day it was 5 min.). This was for both parks. We are going in the morning and staying until around 2 and then heading home. I did get my son a wheelchair (he sprained his ankle and is in a cast to his knee) and that helped him a lot.

If you get a map today, can you please send me the showtimes for February? My map only says January 4-30 showtimes, so I'm assuming the new ones for February begin today.

Thanks. :)

You went to all 8 Horror Makeup shows. I love the show, but are they different or do you love it that much?

Eh, the show is pretty much the same each time. They do incorporate different jokes here and there, but it's not an extreme difference. The first time I saw the show was around 2 years ago, so it's not like I've been going to the show for years on end (I think before this month, I only saw the show 3 times total).

I have my two favorite people that are still working there that I saw the first time. I was lucky enough to catch one of them yesterday, so I decided to do the show a lot. I actually was there the previous week on my days off and saw 3 shows one day, 6 the next. I managed to get a lot of rides in as well, since it's been pretty quiet at the parks. So in all, I managed 20 shows this month. :p

The audience makes the show better and my favorites are really good at what they do, so I enjoy seeing them. It gives me something to do, I guess. I've lived here all my life, so I've done pretty much everything a bunch of times. The show's my favorite and I'm simply making the best of the annual pass I received for Christmas. ;)

I think some of the team members that greet you and seat you are beginning to remember me..

Thanks for the report!!! Hoping and praying that they somehow get the express line up and running before the 14th!!!!!

So excited to head back to US and IOA next week (3rd trip)! So tell me... how bad is the new rollercoaster for people like me who HATE the Hulk and DD????? Should I try or will I be postively terrified????
