Live Report from the Beach Club

Hi Pam glad you are having a great time. We will be at the Beach Club in December.
Do you know of anyplace you can get breakfast early? Not just a Bagel but something like eggs.
We always stayed at Dixie Landings and decided to splurge this time. There will be 4 old gals going but we are a roudy bunch.
Can you suggest anything.
Dixie has the cafeteria. What does the Beach Club offer. :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Pam have you gone to Cape May or Yachtsman?? Is it hard to get a ressie??
Thanks so much for answering these questions!!! Hope you are still having a great time!!!!!! :sunny: :sunny:

It's Me!! Checking in again.

As far as a place for breakfast early, other than the marketplace, try the Yacht Club Galley - we've eaten there twice and it's very good. The marketplace has yummies too...great pastries, omelette sandwich, fruit, yogurt, etc. It's kind of slow to check out with your food, that's the only negative.

We haven't been to Cape May, no - we're not planning on dining there this trip. It's major crowded at breakfast, a huge line. I would highly suggest PS, or I guess it's called ADR now. Yachtsman Steakhouse....well, we're thinking of going tonight or tomorrow night. Shouldn't be hard to get in. We had PS tonight for Artist Point but we're not in the mood for it.

Did the AK this a.m. - saw Lucky the Dinosaur. Don't miss it! The AK wasn't crowded at all. We walked right on Dinosaur, the Primeval Whirl and got a fastpass for Kali River Rapids. I GOT SOAKED. It felt good because it's so hot. Had a great time at AK. Now we're resting in the room. Tonight is Extra Magic at MK so we'll be at it most of the night.

Hope ya'll are enjoying the live reports. We must , must must do a Triad DIS meet. I'll work on that when I get home.

Thank you soooo much for the live reports! I am living through you right now :teeth:

I am glad you are having so much fun!

If it storms at night and you are in the hotel, go over the the beach club in the room w/ all of the windows. It's a spectacular site. Oh and don't forget your sundae.

Pam,

Thanks so much for reporting live from the BC. I read one time on here that BC has a lot of children. Is that true? Are there a lot of children there? I know it's Disney, but... It's just DH and I, not kids yet. We're thinking about going later this month.

Also, what does the new decor look like? Will you post pics after your trip?

Thanks again.

Pam, be glad you are in Orlando. We've had major gully washers this afternoon and evening. Part of W-S is without power because of downed trees. It appears to have cleared out now.

Wendy, I'm glad to see that you are still going to the YC. I hope your pregnancy is going well!

We do need to meet. Bob NC is from Kernersville.

See ya,

Lori

Hi Lori,

Yep, still going. Sometimes I think I'm insane. The pregnancy is going well. I'm mostly just hungry all the time. I'm really glad I'm staying on the concierge level. I'm looking forward to having light, healthy snacks available. I will report back after my stay. Pregnant Mom, pregnant babysitter do WDW w/ 3 kids.

Ufgator - We don't have kids either. I wouldn't say the BC has any more children than any other resort...perhaps less than some. I wouldn't worry about that.

EMH last night at MK was absolutely fabulous!!! We had the best time at the MK than we've ever had...that's a direct quote from my husband. We got there around 7:00. Walked right on Jungle Cruise, maybe a 5 or 10 minute wait. Walked right on POC. Big Thunder had about a 20 minute wait - we had a fastpass for Splash Mountain. Almost all of the attractions are open for EMH. I would say pretty much everything but toontown. The fireworks were great, we saw them from Fantasyland near Ariel's Grotto. Excellent location. I highly recommend EMH - I think it's a fantastic idea.

Had dinner at the yachtsman steakhouse last night. It was pretty good, but they had the grill going to the point where it was actually smoky in there. The steaks were excellent on the inside, but the outside was charred...I mean really charred. The service was probably the best we've encountered on the trip.

It's sad today - it's our last day. :-( Trying to keep my spirits up. The winds are kicking up - but the weather is okay even with Dennis approaching. A band came through this a.m. Only lasted 15 minutes.

Well - be looking for my trip reports. My husband insists that I write them.

Oh - the weather has been great...hot hot hot but no rain. it rained on the way in last Saturday, a tad on Sunday and that 's it. It rained 5 minutes last night. It's been quite a sunny trip.

Do you mind sharing how you went about faxing your room request at BC ? What number and staff member did you send it to? Thanks for this and for the live reports. They were fun!
