Live music venues in Orlando?

My son is a musician. I was wondering if any of you know of places we could take him to see live entertainment or live bands? He's 18. What is the legal age for entry to places like that in Orlando? Do they allow people in w/ their parents if they are under 21?

Sure, there are quite a few!

First, my personal favorite place to see concerts in Orlando is the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. It's a standing only auditorium, great acoustics, and they book some good bands.

Theres also the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studio's City Walk. Then there is the Amway Arena downtown, where they will host some of the bigger acts. And most recently, UCF has opened a new arena that has had some concerts as well.

http://orlando.metromix.com/ lists a lot.

But keep in mind a lot of the venues listed are bars that may or may not be 18+.
