UPDATE FROM THE WONDER:

We arrived in Nassau this morning. Very windy outside and for those who are on the stingray adventure - and since there is no feeding of the stingrays today because of the wind, they were able to cancel, if they wanted to. Everyone still went and no cancellations, Very hot and beautiful outside.

I had to return to my Stateroom for a few minutes and while I was there, I got a call from the Bridge and the Captain has agreed to let me blow the ship's horn - and - meet with him tonight on the Bridge - SO -

I WILL BE BLOWING THE WONDER'S HORN TONIGHT​

at 7:15 p.m., as we leave Nassau. Am excited about this. Of course, DH will be with me.

Thanks for telling us about this!! I'm so excited just knowing that one of us is out there tonight on that big blue ocean blowing that big loud horn for the DISers!!! I'm sure it was a magical!!!

I'm excited for you! That's a great honor, and if the captain says it's okay, you should keep on doing what you're doing - celebrating! Let us know how it goes!

You deserve this treat, not only because someone else asked FOR YOU but because being homebound prohibits you from doing fun things like this more often. I'm excited for you, and I'm happy another magnet-making DISer gets to do this!

Hi all:

OK - I did it. Captain John Anderson's personal assistant met us and took us on the Bridge. How wonderful to see all of them working - so efficiently. Push this button and push that button, going from one side of the Bridge to the other - inside and outside on their little verandas.

And I was advised that customarily they do not blow the horn as they leave Nassau but this was an exception.

And not only did I get to blow it, but they let my DH blow it a second time.

What a treat. I ACTUALLY TOLD THEM THAT I WAS HERE TO REPRESENT THE DIS BOARD and they were listening for it. Everyone on the Bridge laughed.

They also changed our dining rotation and let us eat late supper tonight.

Now it is time for Pirates Night on Deck 9 and 10. There is a late night buffet also with lots of desserts and other scrumptous "stuff".

SO, GUYS, I BLEWTHE MICKEY HORN FOR ALLTHE DIS'ERS OUT THERE.

Not sure that we will be docking in CC tomorrow. The winds are kicking up pretty bad. Really windy outside. Chairs are being blown all over the deck and they have extra CM's helping pick them up.

Good night for PIRATES TO TAKE OVER THE SHIP.

We are going in circles -

CAPTAIN is on the PA right now. -

WE CANNOT DOCK IN CC - HE IS GOING TO MAKE ANOTHER ATTEMPT IN 20 MINUTES -

DON'T THINK OUR CHANCES ARE VERY GOOD. So we are sitting in the middle of the Ocean.

Seas are 6 - 8 feet high.

35 knots out of the SE - gusts p to 40 knots.

Up to 46 mph -

DENNIS IS TESTING US TODAY.

Hope you were able to dock. I was on the four-day before your 3-day and CC was beautiful! If not, enjoy your day aat sea and keep us updated!

We just tried to dock again - FAILED

We will be trying again shortly.

Wonder what activities will be planned for us??

At least we are close enough to CC that we can swim ashore, if needed. Does that count???

Oh, I hope you are able to dock! Is the ship rocking a lot? I hate when that happens. I have a lot of trouble with sea sickness.

Well no matter what happens, I hope you have a great day and enjoy Disney Dreams tonight! I just LOVE that show! It brings tears to my eyes everytime!

Actually, the ship is not rocking at all. Just maybe a little from time to time. The wind gusts is what is keeping us from docking - not really the waves

Small boats from the island keeps coming out and circuling us. Guess they have communication with Captain John.

Hi Everyone:

We finally docked in CC at 1:05 p.m. EVERYONE IS SO HAPPY - especially the children.

Off to the PO to mail cards and have a good time.

But we had to eat onboard - NOT ON THE ISLAND. That's a little bummer in itself.

But it is actually nice outside, but a little windy. Everyone has kites to fly once we get on the island.
