Live from WDW, Nicki & Todd do the F&W and 10 days worth of food!!!

Hey Nick, just wanted to say a big "THANK YOU" for taking the time to post your awesome reviews live! You're amazing my friend, have a safe trip home.

Thanks Kathy! I hope you have a fantasic trip and I cannot wait to hear all about it!

You know what Nicki? It's so much easier to try to (re)schedule my ADRs when you say a place, a meal, anything...is BLECH! All these good reviews are just complicating everything in my little never-been-to-the-World brain! :lmao:

I can't believe tomorrow is your going home day already. :sad1: Don't you think you could just stay? And keep reviewing? ;)

I'd been wondering about SAI for a while and never expected you to have positive things to say about it! I think the atmosphere looks just incredible and I bet my DDs would love it.

On to Tutto. Thank-you for getting the poop scoop on their status. I was really bummed about the situation, but now I guess I can have hope again. :yay: That pasta fagioli looks so good! Yummy.

Can I ask your opinion about something? If you had to choose between Les Chefs de France and Tutto Italia for dinner, which would you choose? I don't remember if you've been to Chef's for dinner, but you had the "macaroni and cheese"? That is hands down what I would choose there, if that helps.

Thanks so much for everything you do for us! :goodvibes

:lmao: It is much easier to plan when you can elimate the Blech places! So what places do you have planned so far? Hope I didnt mess them up too much!

I got to tell ya, I was not thinking I was going to like SAI but I really did. The food was pretty darn tasty!

We went to Chefs this past April and had the mac and cheese which was super good and the roasted chicken which was good too BUT Tutto is the winner hands down, the place is just that GREAT!

So far DH wants to go back to Jiko, Flying Fish, Tutto Italia and Fultons. These are his for sure places that we have to do on long trips and do not even think of cancelling.

He has been hanging his head low because I am throwing in the guilt about cancelling Cali Grill but he PROMISED to go there for my birthday next year!

Hi everyone! Today was our last full day at WDW, waaaaaaaa:sad1:
Noooooooo! :sad1:

Didnt order dessert or appies for 2 reasons. First is we were planning a huge meal at Tutto and second, the choices were the pits.

That stinks. I love appies & desserts and hate when nothing looks good :sad2:

Ok my friends, I saved the best for last. Tutto Italia! DH and I ate here in April and we loved it so much I had to add it for this trip. The menu has changed so I will post a new one on this thread.

We arrived to Epcot at 6:20 and the place was so jammed you could not move. All the F&W booths were at least 30 or more deep. The booze stand in France was insane, it was wrapped around all over the place...same thing with the wine in Italy. All the tables were full of empty wine and champagne glasses as if there wasnt a trash can every 5 feet!

We had a 7:15 pm ressie at Tutto, checked into a completely empty waiting room at 6:55....where the heck is everyone? We were seated immediately, the dining room was half full...so many empty tables.

I asked the host/asst manager if the menu was changing soon. He said they just changed it and it will stay the way it is until after New Year's. I asked if they were closing for a remodel and his reply was No, not anytime soon as the feedback from diners has been superb, they like things the way they are. So everyone, that is the poop scoop that I was able to get for you all!

You're so good to us

Also brought out was the bread basket with breadsticks, a dough crisp, soft and dense breads. All were fantastic but the basil infused butter was my love of the night....so tasty and since DH doesnt "Do" basil it was mine all mine! He stuck to the olive oil

I don't understand "doesn't 'do' basil" :confused3 ;)

DH had a problem and to him it was a huge one. See he wanted pasta fagioli AND tomato mozzarella salad. I wanted the mixed green salad. He said how about you get the tomato one instead? I reply, I do not want that one. He says, Come on please? I reply, You have had a ton of these salads all week! He said, We can get two desserts if you get the tomato salad. So here is what I ordered

SaturdayNightEpcot015.jpg

OMG, that has got too be the funniest comment of this report :lmao: Of course, you made the right decision and that was a pretty smart idea that Todd came up with :worship:

So we left stuffed and very happy, by this time the restaurant was full and the lobby was full with waiting people. DH was thanking me so much for having thought it through and secured TS places for our last day since Epcot was a madhouse. You are welcome babe! Another word of advice, if you can stay away from Epcot on a Friday and Saturday during F&W, it just isnt worth it!

That's a pretty smart guy you got there!

I can't believe tomorrow is your going home day already. :sad1: Don't you think you could just stay? And keep reviewing? ;)

Ok so funny thing about this, DH and I are at the pool this afternoon and he says, I am not ready to go home, lets play the lotto and if we win we will stay for 2 more weeks. I say you got yourself a deal. So we are chillin in the spa and talking about where would we stay, can we get any dining ressies, we need to buy some new duds....I mean we had ourselves convinced that we were gonna win tonights lotto.

We walk down to the Hess station, still in la la land and guess what? No lotto anywhere near WDW property, there is a no gambling statute that any gas stations on or about WDW property cannot have lotto machines or scratch tickets.

So I say to DH, do you want to get the car and go to 192? He says, Waste 5 bucks on getting the car from valet, 5 bucks on lotto and 5 bucks dropping the car off again...for what you know we are not gonna win anyways.

Ok pal, now that you popped my bubble lets go to our last supper. He turns to me and cracks up, I say, What?? He says you act like I am taking you to the electric chair and giving you bread and water, snap out of it we are going to Tutto!

That did it! ;)

How funny! That would be me, though too...I never win anything.:sad2: I would be happy to invest the $15 to WIN, but to lose? Wouldn't you rather have another "pink drink" with that $15?

Thank you so much for your review! We leave in 6 days. This will be our first F&W and you have really helped to guide us to which foods we would like to try. Your pics are great. Have a safe trip home.

F&W - This is why we are coming to WDW after all! I want to try about 90% of the food offerings, some of my favs are coming back and some of my not so favs like that terrible lobster roll!

Is the lobster roll really terrible? I love lobster and can't wait to try it.
I'm hoping they make the lobster roll like they do in New England.
Please tell it isn’t terrible, that you just don’t like lobster roll; I’ve done nothing but dream about eating one.

Yes it is terrible. I am from Boston, New England makes killer lobster rolls. This one was bad last year and bad this year. They put pickle relish in it! BLECH!

Safe travels home, Nicki, and thanks again for the reviews and great pictures!

Tutto looks very good but I have a feeling we're never going to make it there ... too many great Italian restaurants here in St. Louis. We have great steak and great pasta ... and that's about it.

Great job, lady! :goodvibes

why would they put pickle relish on it are they crazy? I lived in Maine when I was in high school, and its been years since I've had a good lobster roll.

Thank you so much, Nicky, for those wonderful reviews! Was that really 10 days? Seemed like 3 or 4 to me :lmao: !!
So, when are you going again, I need a countdown ticker to YOUR next reviews!

Thanks again! :flower3:

Thanks Nicky! Your reviews have been wonderful. I can't wait to go to Tutto Italia in December! Have a safe trip home!:goodvibes

Hope you're enjoying your "last breakfast" now, and have a safe trip home :goodvibes but I'm not thanking you for the review yet, because it's not quite over ;)

Have a great last day & drive home

DH had the Bugia, the anise flavored crisps. Back in Boston they call these Wandi's, I forget what my grandmother calls them but she makes wonderful ones with tons of anise oil in the batter, DH eats them as fast as she makes them. Sadly the ones from Tutto had zero anise flavor. BUT they were nice and light and very good once you dipped them in the chocolate sauce or the to die for fresh and tasty apricot preserves.

This dessert looks like Polish Pretzels (Chrusciki). When they are homemade, they are light and flakey. When commercially made, they are thicker and not as good.

Awesome reviews! You have definitely made me want to revisit some places we haven't been in a while. :thumbsup2 Have a safe trip home.

Thank you for your wonderful report! I have been patiently waiting on every update.:cool1: My best friend and I leave on our girls only trip in 18 days and we can't wait. We have added Cape may to our ADR's because of your pics and review.

Thanks again!

Since you asked :rolleyes1 ...here's what I've got planned. When I made ADRs I was only going to do regular DDP, now Jiko is throwing a wrench into that plan, so I'm very seriously thinking deluxe. I had considered it before, nixed it, considered it again, nixed it again...you get the idea! :lmao: It's our first trip to WDW, DD9 eats like an adult (in volume as well as her taste in food), and I think having the appies would give us a bit more for her to check out. The kids meals look so boring and tiny! Anyway, if I can work out the schedule so we wouldn't have to do parkhoppers, I think we're gonna go deluxe. Obviously none of this is set in stone and I'd love your input if you feel so inclined!

1900 Park Fare-dinner
Mama Melrose-Fantasmic! package
Tusker House-breakfast
'Ohana-dinner
Yachtsman-dinner
Boma-breakfast
Tutto Italia-dinner
Raglan Road-dinner
Crystal Palace-breakfast
Jiko-dinner
Cape May-breakfast

I haven't really figured out TS lunches yet...I'd rather eat a big breakfast and a nice dinner and have lunch be more of a snack, but you better believe if I'm paying for deluxe, we're gonna get our money's worth! My best guess is that some of them MAY be:

Prime Time or Sci-Fi
Tony's
Chef's de France
Le Cellier
or San Angel Inn

How's that for being as clear as mud??? I'm still in the early planning stages of the deluxe, so I'm open to suggestions.

Do you mind if I share the Tutto info with my January thread? I'm sure everyone would like to know, and I'll definitely give you props!

Thanks so much again for your reviews! :goodvibes

Welcome home. :)

I want that mozzarella and tomato salad and that cavatelli!
I had a pasta craving today, and it just isn't the same. ;)

I am so sad that your dining reviews are over. :sad2:
 I think you and DH should permanently stay at Disney so that you can write reveiws every week and update us on changes, additions, deletions, etc. I don't know if I can stand it until January.

But, in the meantime, welcome back and glad you had such a great birthday celebration. :)
