Hi everyone and thanks for being so patient with me! We drove up yesterday and arrived around 7pm and I asked DH if he wanted to eat at WPE in DTD or the Mara at the AKL (that is the resort we are staying at for the first part of our 10 day trip) and he said lets go to CSR and eat at the Pepper Market. I forgot that CSR was on the way to AKL and we really loved our breakfast there in Aug and wanted to try dinner so I was fine with that!

When we entered the CSR the first thing that we noticed was the people....the entry, the lobby, everywhere was just jam packed with people. I was wondering if we picked the wrong week to come to WDW!

We were seated right away and immediately notice the huge line for the Mexican food. We walked around a bit and took in the menu choices.

DH has a thing for taco salads, he loves them but he loves them with ground beef and not steak or chicken. So I ask the girl at the Mexican stand if I can get a taco salad with ground beef, she said no just steak or chicken. So DH said forget it I will get Chinese food instead. I then order a wet burrito and ask for chicken. The girl said they come with ground beef not chicken. Ok what?? You just said no ground beef when I asked about the taco salad you said no ground beef and NOW you say you have ground beef? I asked her if I can get the taco salad with ground beef and she said sure. Ok I am totally confused but call to DH and tell him he can have his beloved taco salad.

Here it is, with a scoop of what looks like vanilla ice cream but it actually sour cream! He was bummed that there wasnt any black olives or served in a taco shell but he inhaled this salad anyways. He said that the salad was excellent, he put jalapenos and salsa on it too and said the 2 large taco chips were stale so he didnt eat them.

He also ordered a side of black beans and yellow rice and it was huge and delicious and we shared it!

I ordered the regular wet burritos with ground beef and I really liked them but I did not like all the tomatoes around them. They tasted like plain diced tomatoes, not like an enchilada sauce or salsa. If I order them again I would tell them to hold the sauce.

The lady next to me ordered the chicken quesadillas and they looked great, wish I ordered those!

While I was waiting for the food DH picked up a 1/2 Strawberry Daquiri and 1/2 Pina Colada...very good but too sweet for me.

And for dessert DH had the chocolate chip cookie which is a staple for him and it was very good but a little too greasy for me.

I ordered the cheesecake and it was sooo good. Super light and very creamy and very flavorful. Awesome buttery crust and the chocolate swirl added a nice taste. Would love to get this again!

We left the CSR very full and happy....for $50 we should be! I would like to go back and try the other items, everything looked so good!

Checked into the AKL in our studio Villa room and it was gorgeous! Changed to CL this morning and DH is in heaven with the lounge! More to come in a sec! Any questions please ask away!

Our CL room was not ready this morning so we had breakfast at Mara. No long lines at all but the place was pretty busy.

DH had the breakfast platter with sausage. The eggs were awesome, the potatoes were amazing, the sausage nice and spicy (he gave then to me) and the biscuit was good.

We shared the watermelon, it was very good and cold but a bit mushy.

DH inhaled, um I mean ate a cinnamon bun. He said it was perfect and since he didnt offer me a bite (the bum) I will have to take his word for it.

I opted for the bacon, egg and cheese croissant but I wish I ordered the breakfast platter for 30 cents more. The croissant was greasy, the cheese was non existant and I gave the bacon to DH because it was way too smokey for me.

We share the juice and the coffee.....guess which one was great and which one was blech? If you guessed the coffee was blech you win!

Mara was nice and I would eat breakfast here again but I really want to get there for lunch and try the soups and falafel sandwich and stuff.

On a side note the weather here was gorgeous today...hope it stays that way!

After breakfast DH wanted to go to HS and see the Indiana Jones show and stuff so off we went!

But then I am spoiled by my own chocolate chip cookies which my three men in my house will tell you are the BEST chocolate chip cookies anywhere.

Hi there! We crashed and burned last night and I didnt even take the computer out of the case! We did not get into our room until 3:30 today and then it was dinner and Epcot for the Jon Secada concert which was AMAZING....it was so much fun! I was dancing and singing along with everyone else and we were 4 rows back almost center and it was awesome! Here are some pics!

We waited about 15 minutes for our HS bus and away we went. It was not that busy, totally manageable except for Toy Story, that had a 2 hour wait so we will catch that later.

After the Backlot Tour DH was ready for a snack. We stopped at Herbie's Drive in for a pretzel and a banana frozen drink. The pretzel was sooo good. Soft, hot, just enough salt, perfection in a pretzel. The drink was ok, like a Slurpie and I dont do Slurpies so I got a water instead.

And on the way to the Indiana Jones show DH spied a hotdog from Backlot Express. He said it was a good hot dog, great fries but no onions, no sauerkraut, no cheese sauce so that was a huge bummer. I did not eat lunch as I was saving myself for Boma later tonight.

Pepper Market looks good, but pricey? Would you say it worth a drive over there?

Breakfast platter at Mara looked good except for the coffee. Was it the standard yucky Nescafe?

Hi there!

Yes PM was worth the drive there but I would not order that special drink again, that was $6 alone. I would also skip the desserts and just stick to the food. They had some yummy pastas and pizzas and the smell of the steak had my mouth watering.

At Mara, yes it was Nescafe and it was horrid. When DH started to pour it in the cup the first stream was water, then brown water then light brown water....we poured it out and went to another dispenser and it was the same thing, BLECH!

At Mara, yes it was Nescafe and it was horrid. When DH started to pour it in the cup the first stream was water, then brown water then light brown water....we poured it out and went to another dispenser and it was the same thing, BLECH!

Yay! You made it! What did you think of your studio at AKV? How was the view? Did you take any pics of it? We'll be there in January, I think the same time that you're there.

We stayed in the studio last night and loved loved loved it, truth be told I like that room better than the one I am in right now. Our view from the AKV was awful though, you could hear the pool noise but there were huge trees blocking you from seeing anything. From our CL room we have an amazing view of the Zebra Trail but the room itself is nothing like the AKV, I miss the double sinks outside of the bathroom and the little kitchen area.
