On my way to the MK last night I stopped at the Poly and had one of those yummy grilled cheeses from Capt. Cook's. On the way up to the monorail I noticed a big vrowd waiting to get into Ohana's (is it really that good, has no appeal to me)
Kona looked like it had some tables opened, those folks waiting for Ohana should have just gone there.
Aftera quick monorail ride I'm at the MK, it's around 6. I got my wristband and went to check out the refurbed TTA. OK, the seats weren't refurbed as the car I had seams that needed mending
THe main reason I wanted to ride I wanted to see if you could get a glimpse of SM.
the lift at the start of SM
I have to say I'm shocked that Disney opened TTA and area allowing guests to see SM in this shape. It is clearly a construction zone. I'm not going to pretend to know what Walt would think, but in this instance I'm pretty darn sure he would never allow guests to see this mess, it's a disgrace.
Then further down TTA, there was this eye sore
There is no attempt to cover up with decorative tarps like on Main Street and Fantasyland.
I'm glad the park is getting attention and Lord knows SM needed a this refurb in the worse way, but what I saw in Tomorrowland really left me feeling ticked off that the current mgt thinks it's ok to have the park in this shape for guests. I feel bad for those on the once in a lifetime trip to see this. I'm fortunate that I will see I it again and again after the construction is done
My rant is over...
Before the party started I hopped on Buzz, need to practice so I can take Murph down in November
I realized it was close to 7 and I wanted to get a ride on JC before it closed for the night ( and it was almost dark and I love JC at night)
As I approached, a huge clap of thunder and it started to rain, I have no poncho or hat!
Hopefully it was just a quick passing one and will have stopped by the time I get off. JC was a walk one, the CM apologized for the long wait

I said it was unacceptable
Still raining I ran over to PoC and again a walk on, hopefully it will stop raining by the time I get off.
Nope, I realized I missed a call from Murph who was pug sitting so I called from the gift shop to wait it out. NOPE. I ended up buying one of the darn ponchos. But you know what, I like so much better than the $ store ones, IN this case you get what you pay for and sometimes it makes sense to spend more.
WIth poncho on I headed over to Splash, BTMRR and back to Splash (all walk ons)
I started to walk over to HM and realized it was a few minutes after 8 and the first parade was at 8:15. Towards the end of Frontierland (near LS) I found a spot right at the rope
THe headless horseman did not ride for the first parade due to the rain, too dangerous with wet pavement. It dried out and he was able to ride the second parade. (I only took pics from the first one, and just watched the second one)
After the parade I headed over to HM
The lighting effeects on this and the Castle were amazing. (that's fake fog in the pic)
AFterwards I checked out the Villains show (very short, I guess most people go for the meet and greet afterwards). I opted to get ice cream and find a spot for the fireworks.
Now Hallowishes was AMAZING, I suck at firework pictures so I opted to just stand and enjoy and WOW!!!!!!!!
THe parade and fireworks are worth the price of admission alone.
With that I walked around to check out the rest of the park and see the dance parties (eh, nothing worthwile to me) and one more ride on TTA to see if I could get another look at SM, I did see the new track in place.
It was almost time for the second parade.
I have to say I have seen it on MS, LS and Frontierland and Frontierland is my favorite.
It was now 11 and I was tired. I headed out through Adventureland and caught up to the parade on MS. CM's were letting people through still by Town Hall and I was able to get out before getting stuck.
Snapped this on my way out in front of the park
I fell asleep singing Boo to You, I think I have to get the CD
