Have had a simply wonderful time here at the Poly. This is our last night and our packing is done.
This resort is absolutely beautiful, and the CMs are friendly and helpful. DH and I have both said that the pictures we've seen of this resort do not do it justice. I would be content staying here without visiting the parks.
We were upgraded to the Hawaii building.
I couldn't believe it when I asked the CM checking us in which building we were in and she told me Hawaii. When she went to get our key cards, I mouthed "that's Concierge!" to my DH. We do have a garden view that is partially blocked by a tree, but I love it all the same.
Here's a portion of our garden view:
The room is in great shape; clean and comfortable. Mousekeeping has been good too. No complaints. The resort seems very well maintained.
The concierge lounge is an unexpected treat. I was excited to meet Chef Dick, who I'd read about on Tikiman's website. He's really funny and nice. The snacks, food & drink offerings are a very welcome amenity. It's really nice to grab a soda or a cookie when coming back from a park.
I'll be posting a dining and trip report once we're home and settled in.
We've enjoyed Kona Cafe, 'Ohana and Captain Cook's. Especially Kona Cafe!
While we've missed our little baby girl so much, this trip has allowed us to rest and recharge. I was surprised to hear DH announce this morning that he wants to return with DD in November 2008. Yippee! I would love to stay here at the Polynesian again, but my resort anxiety disorder is already taking shape and I'm thinking about all the choices!
Stay tuned... lots of pics to share!
