Live From the May Repositioning Cruise

So sad about the Castaway tragedy.

I hope they get the pins and t-shirts straightened out by August. I want it all!

I do not beleive they have a regular scheduled Mass onboard. If there happens to be a priest traveling and wants to have Mass, he will volunteer his services.

I love reading all the details about the trip. Can't wait for our August cruise!

seaulater DAN---DAN---DAN--- The Magic HAS SAILED THESE WATERS BEFORE!!!! Where were you? On the 10 day Christmas Cruise we came the exact same route after leaving Key West. We will be sailing in the same waters until approximately 7 p.m. tonight. When we get to the east point of Cuba we will then head into a new direction towards Curacao and at that point we will be in NEW WATERS that the Magic has never sailed before! Had a great view of Cuba back in December. Can't wait to see it later today! Linda[/QUOTE said:

How many kids are on regular sold out cruises? :mickeybar

I have the same question. How do you find out how many children are onboard a cruise? I'd love to know how many will be on our June 4th West Coast Cruise.

I know on the 10 day Christmas cruise they said kids club had 1000 kids and like you said there are more not in kids club. I know the reason for most of us DCL loyal customers to not be on this cruise or the Aug repo is kids school schedules. Your kids would have to be home schooled or younger. Other than that we would be there.

Hey Mousseau I know they don;t really know who all will participate in kids club until registration and they usually announce the number at the end of cruise program the kids put on. I heard our cruise on June 4th is low because some states are still in school.

300 kids on the ship

THis is the most magical time a person could experience.
Ship is rocking, we are in new waters that the Magic has NEVER seen before. THey are handing out pagers to the kids in the stack. The stack has been remodeled. It is fabulous, really laid back. Great big ball pillows. Giant screen tv's thin. Progressive disser is today. also the entrepreneur meet. Got to get prepared.

we are in new waters that the Magic has NEVER seen before. Really? I assume that for at least the first day out of CC that you would be following a course similar to the Eastern cruises (going to St. Maarten).

THey are handing out pagers to the kids in the stack Why? Maybe because they have extra pagers since there are so few children and that the teenagers can keep in touch with each other?

Progressive disser is today Do you mean a "Progressive Dinner?" Is this a DIS board thing or a DCL activity? and who is it for: Adults, Teens, Children or Families? and if its a progressive dinner by DCL - how does that work onboard? Heck if its something else - what is it and how does it work?

Entrepreneur Meet Whats this?

Thanks

This is totally awesome. I forgot to watch the Magic sail on Saturday, but was content knowing knowing that I could see the ship on Saturday when we go in 3 weeks for our 4 night Wonder cruise and stay at the Radisson before hand. Then reality hit me, she's going to be on the other coast.... :guilty:

Well, I have the 4 night to keep me happy till our double dip in July 06.

I loved the pics way back at the first few pages, and all the live reports!!! Thank you so much.

But Dirk Pitt used an airship to get there - and a bathtub with an outboard motor to get off the island :rotfl2:

300 kids?????? :earseek: Oh sounds heavenly!!!!

No doubt that we will have lots of kids on East repo cruise!!! :sad2: Mine count for 2 already!!!!

Tell us what you are eating? I'm still having the post cruise blues. What's for dinner? Better yet, what's for dessert? What servers do you have? Make us feel like we're there!!!!!!!!

I am sure we will have 1000 kids on our cruise June 25 everyone will be out of school by then.
We had that many kids on our last cruise (We don't have any-Typical DINK), but they never bothered us. We spent most of the time at Quiet Cove Pool anyway. The only difference to the cruises we did before, was that during dinner -we had late dining, of course- there were at least 50% of tables occupied by families with kids, as they didn't have enough room for them during main dining. IMHO it was tougher on the kids than on us: Many of them had trouble staying awake that late. There were many smaller kids who slept with their heads on the table or on two chairs shoved together as a makeshift bed ;)

Low can be good as long as it's not to low. It would be nice to have room in the pools - especially the Mickey one, since the fountain area is the only place my DD 2 can be, but I don't want it to be so few that they don't have lots of fun playmates. :Pinkbounc

No, I think they're significantly west of the eastern Caribbean route. They should be passing between Cuba and Haiti.

My heart goes out to everyone involved in the tragedy...best wishes for the rest of your cruise and prayers for the family.

Wow...300 kids...that makes me wish we had stuck w/our plan to be on that boat instead of shift to the 7 day right after you.....though my kids are still looking forward to all their new DIS friends!

Thank you for the updates...now I am really excited!

I believe that the progressive DISser was put together by the DIS group. You should check out their meets thread. They have a TON of things planned for this trip. :) It sounds like so much fun!!!

Reading this thread today has me in tears...........hopefully the cruise will have more Highs than Lows coming up.....thx for sharing your trip with us, I'm really excited b/c this means the MAGIC will be on the West Coast soon and our trip is getting closer!! :goodvibes

tap&dap (Tom and Diana) - Mike (Doctor P) and I send our condolonses to the family and your friends that were on the cruise (as well as all Dis'ers who may have known the individual). Very sorry to hear the sad news. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Chris
