Tonight during dinner Belle and Beast made an appearance and danced in Lumiere's. Then they announced that new this cruise. You will be able to get portraits with Belle and Beast!

Each guy got a Beast pin (open edition) and each gal got a Belle pin.

Murder Mystery starts tomorrow.

WOW!!! :) That was so magical. :) I hope that they continue this picture session after the west coast cruises are over. That would be a very special picture to have! Thank you for sharing more of the magic of your cruise. I am sure that all the DISers are saddened tonight.

Regarding today at CC, I agree that when the family is ready they will share what has happened. They understand that the DIS is like an extended family and we are very concerned for their wellbeing.

Deepest condolences to the family. What a terrible way to begin a vacation.

We certainly respect the families privacy and need to mourn...

I guess I didn't read every single post here, too many, but guessing someone died. How very sad and awful. Please keep me posted, I am taking my 80 year old parents on the May 28 cruise, and I am now VERY nervous , was it heart related? sickness, pre-existing illness? Oh wow, I don't want anything to happen to my dad.......he has parkinsons disease, I am really scared now!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and all who have been affected by this sad event

For those of you thinking about the Aug repo trip the ninety day "put up or shut up" mark is fast approaching, May 22nd I believe, look for some availability then.

I might sound stupid but what is the 90 day "put up or shut up"?

USUALLY, DCL - Castaway Club gives ONE GIFT per cabin even though there might be different cruise guests sharing a cabin (that might be a little messy)......hope each individual guest that is a return cruiser (like sharing a cabin one from the east coast friend and one from the west coast friend) each deserves to receive a gift.........this way everyone can start off the trip still with alot of PIXIE DUST!!!!! I really hope it works out :)

I understand about a cabin per famiy rule, but if there are
2 friends sharing a cabin then they each deserve a return gift.... JMO

I have two sets of friends on this cruise, and I know that they only had one CC gift per cabin. I don't think it's fair for those sharing a cabin with different households getting their own CC gift.

When three of us (in different states, all three of us!) shared a verandah cabin two years ago, DCL sent all the cruise docs with my address, as the "primary" person on the ressie. I think DCL has a serious problem keeping those kinds of bookings straight anyway. I hope the two short-changed friends get their blankets.

And yet ANOTHER person (out of the dozen I know on the ship right now)
alerted some of us to the Castaway Cay tragedy. My heart goes out to the
family for their loss.

I was so sorry to hear about the tragedy on CC. I can't begin to imagine how shocking this must be to the family who have been anticipating a trip like this. I will keep you in my prayers. Robin

Good morning everybody,
I also heard about the death of one of our own. We are all devastated here on the magic.

THis is the most magical time a person could experience.
Ship is rocking, we are in new waters that the Magic has NEVER seen before. THey are handing out pagers to the kids in the stack. The stack has been remodeled. It is fabulous, really laid back. Great big ball pillows. Giant screen tv's thin. Progressive disser is today. also the entrepreneur meet. Got to get prepared.

Are they only offering 14 bottles for the wine packages or are they offering fewer bottles as part of a package?

Those who made the reservation and have not paid it in full have a dead line of 90 days before the cruise to pay in full. (At least for those who made the reservation before the change to 75 days or what ever it is today). So on May 21 a lot of cabins may become available. (some upgrdes too?? one can only hope?)

Thanks so much for the updates to Seaulater and 3Dan!!! Oh you gettting me soo excited for the East Repo cruise...I am getting goosebumps..... :goodvibes

My dd will LOVE to see the Beauty and the Beast at the resturant!!!! How cool!!!

My thoughts and prayers are added to those other Dis members.

First and foremost, thanks to Jenn and Pete and all others who are keeping us informed about this historical cruise. I am loving the pictures, keep them coming. Jenn, if you see my friend Regina, give her a hug for me. Wish I was there with you all, but real life gets in the way sometimes.

I was saddened to read about the passing of one of the cruisers....my heart and prayers go out to the family.

Wow, only 300 kids on board...it must feel empty! Most of the cruises I have been on had 800 kids.

The time period when you can cancell your reservation and recieve a full refund. For most folks full payment needs to made 90 days out, for some I believe it is still 60 days. For the May cruise, availability started showing up right before final payment was do. After that you get some but not all of your money back.

My condolances to the family, who ever they may be. :guilty:

Can anyone tell me how the pin voucher worked for the CC pin yesterday? I read that they were going to issue each pin on their respective port days, just wondered if there was a mad dash for these vouchers or if it was fairly organized. thanks, :wizard: Robin

Add my family's thoughts and prayers to our fellow DIS'ers family.

And thanks again for the updates. I'm practically glued to the computer, checking to see what's new every time I walk by! This thread is so addictive. I'm worried that I'll go over the edge when the August repo cruisers start posting.

We were supposed to be on that cruise, and I found out school started a week earlier than I thought, so we cancelled. On the plus side, I got accepted to Pharmacy School, so I guess we didn't cancel in vain.

So thanks again for the posts. Keep em coming. It gives us landlocked people something to daydream about.

Mike
