Live from the Magical Express Bus

Howdy all. I'm on board a Magical Express Bus on my way to WDW right now!

There are about 15 folks on board. The destinations are Old Key West, Port Orleans Riverside, and Ft. Wilderness.

It took me about an hour from wheels down to actually leaving MCO, but part of that was waiting on Southwest to bring me my ECV. I also had to go to luggage claim and get a bag that they checked at the plane. It was flat enough to go under the seat when I packed it, but TSA opened it at security and didn't pack it tight enough.

FYI, this was 11:03 pm for wheels down, 11:45 entering the Magical Express checkin line, and 11:55 for when the bus left MCO.

While I was at the luggage carousel waiting on this plane checked bag, I noticed a couple of bags come through the carousel that had Magical Express tags on them, but they only came around once, after they went back into the back they didn't reappear, but other bags did. So the "BAGS" folks do multiple sweeps to make sure they have all of the Yellow Tags.

I'll post again on times to the various resorts.

I noticed you said you arrived at Ft. Wilderness at 12:37a.m.

It sounds like there were quite a few people on the bus, for being that late. I had heard that after 11pm the service changed a bit because there were fewer people arriving. Does ME run the same at that time of eveninng as during the day? Was your bus pretty full at that time of night?

I have a Verizon Air Card for my laptop. Work provides it for me since I have to keep up with a couple of things while away.

Individuals can get them. The card runs about $150 and the service runs between 40 and 50 a month. Different providers have them. It's best to check around for prices.

There were four parties on the bus. On family of four got off at Old Key West. One family got off at PO Riverside, and one other family and myself got off at Ft. Wilderness. A total of about 15 folks.

By the time I checked in and went to the restroom, my stuff arrived at Ft. Wilderness. I drove my ECV over to the site, and they drove my stuff over to the site in their van. So it was really quick!
