We're having a great time Cruizin!

We went to the Member meeting earlier this week. They have red hats now. A nice addition to the cruise hat collection of white and navy blue caps.

I won more mouse pads. I guess I could have asked for a different prize (they had a bunch of other stuff) but I'm not like that.

Last night they had a little member meeting for Add-ons. We're not in the market for more points, but every family who attended got a very cool DVC travel clock. It's in a leather pouch and will be very handy for future cruises.

Of course, Saratoga is being offered, but there are a few use years with points available at OKW and Vero.

DH asked about plans for the member website. It sounds like they're seriously looking into giving us more options to track our own points. I hope so.

Now I'm off to breakfast! Hmm....Topsiders, Lumiere's or Parrot Cay.......decisions, decisions.;) :teeth:

Regina...thanks for the report! Now get back to that chaise lounge and do some serious relaxin'!! :)

Our guide is on that cruise, Jim McCoy. He's going to laugh when he gets back and sees that we added on more pts.

It sounds like you are having an amazing time! Glad to hear it.

:D

Thanks for the report. I just booked my first Disney Cruise yesterday for Oct 30, 7 night Eastern cruise, Halloween on the DCL, Yahoo! We are so excited! Do all the cruises have DVC activities? Thanks for any info!

That is great news.

........not the 3 or 4 day cruises.

Just passin' some time as we approach Castaway Cay. The sun is shining Tagrel! I'll bring some of home to NY for you. ;)

BWVDee, they have a late morning DVC get together where coffee/pastries are served. They give everyone a DVC hat, and we also got lanyards this time. They give out one ticket per family for prizes. They ask you a trivia question about DVC, but no one loses. DVCers are great for giving "hints."

They also have a couple of presentations for guests who are considering DVC. You can attend those if you'd like, but we didn't this time around.

We got the clock at an Add-On presentation that was held on Wednesday evening at 10:00. They had soft drinks as well as wine. It was very low key.

Floridafam, Jim is your agent? Ricardo is on this cruise and he's ours. Jim's a character. They told the tale of their day at St. Thomas where Jim led them on a walk. Unbeknownst to the others, it was straight up a mountain. I think he almost killed them, LOL.

See ya later!!!

Regina,

Thanks for the report, I can't wait until our first DCL cruise in Oct. I knew when I booked I should not have made it so far out, but was going for the early booking rates. I have been spending my evenings trying to decide what excursions and spa treatments to book etc...

Tell Ricardo hello, he is also our guide....

Do they let you know when you board the times of the meetings for DVC members? Does it matter if you are using points or cash?

I know it was mentioned in one of the many books I read that sometimes they put DVC people together for Dinner, do you know if that has been your experience?

Thanks and have a great trip!
Denise
