Last night with our Navigtor was a card entitled "Cold and Flu Season Reminder." Only two paragraphs - the first being about the importance of hand washing.

The second paragraph reads:

"If you feel ill or experience nausea or diarrhea, let us take care of you. Please call the Medical Center by dialing 71923 for a complimentary evaluation. Our Guests Services team is also available to assist you by dialing "0."

I posted the above message - the importance of logging out at a public computer. I assumed I would be taken to the login page. Tried to delete but it did not work.

Still - the message is an exact quote so should not reflect badly on anyone.

Wow , that would have been nice for us a week ago! both Ds and I had to go to the med center for ear infections and our bills totaled over $200.00! A short evaluation now runs $90.00 per person so that is a deal that they are offering for free now!

I am not going to get upiddy about this,, I will calmly state that this child's situation has been discussed on other threads.

BOY DID THAT TAKE RESTRAINT!! BARB ARE YOU PROUD OF ME???

happy holiday's everyone!

Oh sorry, I didn't realize it had already been discussed. I guess I am not up on all the discussions. I didn't mean to upset anyone, I was just concerned after reading the article.

Again, sorry. I honestly wasn't trying to cause bad feelings.

We were on the Wonder on December 15-19. Prior to that we were at the Polynesian December 12-15 and ended up with cold and I had strep throat. We took all the precautions (handwashing, attempting to stay warm and dry during the cold downpours) but sometimes you just get sick.

I have to say that our treatment at the Ship's Medical Facility was top notch. The evaluation given to my husband by the RN was excellent and he received several sudafed pills and cepacol throat lozengers for $1.00 - yes, that is correct ONE DOLLAR.

I saw Dr. Bernie because my symptoms were worse and received antibiotics. My bill was $150.00.

The staff filled out all the papers so I can file with my insurance and we both felt that we were treated VERY well and the cost was reasonable.

I am sorry to hear about the child and his family, but both DH and I did our best to stay away from everyone while we were in the worst stages of our illness. I don't think that was unreasonable to request from the family of the child. BUT that is only my opinion.

(AND just to add, we had very cold and wet weather during our WDW resort time and our long awaited Thursday night's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas was rained out (most events were cancelled due to the weather) - so we lost a bit of money on that deal, but hey, that's the weather for ya'!
