Live From The Magic March 29 - April 5

Thanks for the reports :thumbsup2 Oh to be on the Magic right now, eating that peanut butter and chocolate pie

Back to shoveling my sidewalks :rolleyes1

Hi Again!!

Yesterday and today were very nice sea days on the Magic. Our DS, age 8, was a dwarf during the Golden Mickey's. It made his day!! We also won a leather passport holder at the DVC member meeting. On a different note, in 5 trips on the Magic, we visited the health center for the first time. DH had an allergic reaction to something and felt his throat close up. A very nice doctor and RN took care of him and gave him an epi pen. He was fine after an afternoon spent relaxing.

The Golden Mickey menu is similar to the Master Chef menu, There were some changes including a very yummy chocolate award dessert.

This morning we went to the Palo brunch. It was amazing...king crab legs, cavier, oysters, etc.....

Tonight we saw Twice Charmed. Brent advised that on the Eastern cruises the only night that the ship can go slow enough for the pirate fireworks is tuesday night. So, no changing the pirate night on Eastern cruises.

Tomorrow we will be in St. Martin.....

Hello from St. Maarten...the 12 meter yachts "race" was as good as advertised and was great fun...the shopping here can be good too and they will negotiate.....the weather has been nice, though it is a bit breezy, but that made for great sailing so....pirates night is tonight contrary to any reports of changes...the wednesday night issue appears to be for western only....tomorrow it will be St. Thomas

Chuck:cool1:

If you would be able to bring back copies of the new menus you would be everyone's hero

Thanks for the live updates, fun to read

Here I am at work and I am so JEALOUS!! It has been raining here in NJ all day!! I hope you have a great time!! We loved the Eastern cruise!! Have fun at Pirate night and I am looking forward to hearing more trip reports!!

For those who asked, we cannot bring home any of the new menus. According to our server, they are Disney protected property. Sorry!!!!

Hi Chuck, Lisa and Mason!:wave2:

Sounds as if you all are having a great time! The eastern is our favorite itinerary, but I do love the double-dips (wish they could work it into an eastern:guilty: )

Have you seen any of the servers who were on the Thanksgiving cruise?

Sorry Chuck had to visit the doctor, and am glad he's better.

Please post how well you enjoy St. Thomas. It's our favorite island.

Look forward to more of your reports!

Priscilla

How about you rig a camera up in your lapel and sneak pics for us whilst no one is looking pirate:

Chuck, Lisa, and Mason --

Glad to hear you're having a good time and having great weather. Chuck - hope you were able to figure out what caused the allergic response and it's great to hear about the medical care.

Have a terrific rest of your trip!

Hi Chuck and Lisa,

Glad to hear you are enjoying things and sorry to hear Chuck was ill. Allergic reactions can be very serious, so I'm glad everything is OK.

Enjoy your trip.

Karen

Hello from St. Thomas...took Mason (DS 8) to the top of Paradise Point...he liked it, but somewhat questionable on the value...then did some shopping in Charlotte Amilie...which is very nice as it is U.S. possession...very little bargaining except in straw market, but also no hawkers like Mexico or to some extent St. Maartin.....Pirate party went off last night as scheduled despite some intermittent rain, fireworks included.....now Palo tonight and sea day tomorrow....

Chuck/Lisa:cool1:

Thanks Guys! I hope the remainder of your trip is a very memorable one! We are arriving in MCO FRIDAY AT 3:30. Are plans are to sit by the pool at the Hyatt and go by a new pair of Crocs in MCO. Take care! JP

Well....not everything goes as planned. Due to somewhat rough seas, rain contributing to the problem, and 6'8 1/2" DH walking into a door frame, we were seated at Palo....looking at all of the amazing choices... and then DH said he would not be able to eat. We had to leave. Other people had the same issue w/ the weather, not the door frame. We were told that they would try to see if they can arrange for us to come again tomorrow or friday. Currently they are booked, so we shall see.....

Chuck hit a door frame??? Never done it, usually on my hands and knees crawling back to the room.....:rotfl2:hey If you get thhis by Friday do me a favor.......please! Head to Giversions and tell Nyoman the lamparski family says "hey"

Nyoman and Jessica

Lampy: if i see Nyoman, I will let him know....that door frame was the flood door in the corridors...I have a nice lump to show from it.....anyway today was a nice day although seas still "rough", but nowhere near those 15-20 foot swells from past couple of weeks, just 7.5-12 feet.....got back into Palo for tonight....doing 11-6 at CC tomorrow b/c late leaving St. Thomas combined w/the weather...four people nearly got left behind in St. T....not us though

Chuck:cool1:

04 EASTERN FOR US WAS 20-26 FOOTERS!!!!!!!!! that was the worst of the 6......Glad all is good......Have a good one at CC tomorrow!!!

Hmmmm, I remember some dkny perfumes. Don't remember that one specifically, but I do remember some dkny. I was shopping the perfumes quite a bit. I normally wear a body spray and thought I might want one. Never got around to buying one though.
