The trip has been wonderful so far! great wheather and it hasn't been too hot!

today we are in st. Thomas and it's sunny and beautiful.

The other night I stayed up to watch the sunrise with my new friend Ryan, and we both fell asleep on the deck chairs on deck 4 lol. I woke up and it was sunny and people were jogging..oops lol.

The teen club, in my opion, is pretty stupid (couldnt think of a better word than that). It's all full of immature 13 year olds and stuck up 16 and 17 year olds. The teen activities in my opinion are pretty dumb.

But this is just my opion, i know i would rather hang out around the ship with my new friends then go there, and all my friends feel the same way.

This had been the best vacation i have had so far, and I'm going to be really sad when it has to end :(

But for now im just enjoying every minute i have! :teeth:

Sounds like you are of the younger generation and I have to ask -
what did your parents say when you didn't come back to the cabin after falling asleep on the deck 4 chairs.....and I can understand how relaxed one gets on those chairs....I'm just picturing a rather frantic parent who now needs one of those relaxing chairs.

It's Tuesday, shouldn't you be in St Maarten? Being the father of a 14 year old girl, I'd be interested in knowing what your parents thought about you being out all night as well.

Thx for sharing your trip with us....

ok, I just have to say that that had to be the best sleeping out all night on the deck, I'm so jealous!

I'm sure the OP meant St. Maarten. I caught a glimpse of the Charlotte Amalie webcam this morning and saw a Carnival, Celebrity, and Princess ship at the pier. Nothing so classy as the Magic....

(hint) birthdate is on the profile. OMG, 1 1/2 years younger than my DD!

Oh my gosh, you are one day older than my daughter. She would have been in so much trouble if she had stayed out all night...of course, I never went to sleep until I knew she was safely in her bed. The latest she stayed out was until 2:00 and that was with her having to call and check in with us every couple of hours. Her father even went up one night around 1:30 just to make sure that she was where she said she was (which she was....thank goodness!). By the way, she read your post and for the rest of you teenagers out there, she wants them to know that she had a blast in the teen area. She met up with a group of 15-17 year olds and they hung out together for most of the cruise (however, I'm sure that would vary with each cruise). She is even meeting up with one of the kids and some of his friends when we go to Disney World next week.

I'd like to reiterate that positive vote for the teen club. My daughter had a blast on our last cruise -- she was 15 and we never saw her -- she made friends, did the scavenger hunt, made video films, played trivia games, attended the dance, hung out at the computers or just went there to read and get a smoothie. She went to see a couple of movies with some of the girls she met and had lunch a few times with them. She was always with us at dinner to tell us about all the activities they did. This time she wants to join the excursion at CC. She's already disappointed that this will be her last year since she is 17.

I'm interested in knowing how you liked your excursions at St. Maarten today? And what are you planning on doing at St. Thomas tomorrow?

As far as sleeping on the deck 4 chairs, my mom doesnt care what time I come back to the cabin, as long as im awake for the shore excursions. That morning i walked back into the cabin the same time she was leaving to go to the pool. She goes to bed around 8:00 anyways, so she doesn't stay up for me.

I'm a good kid, and she trusts me not to get in to trouble.

And yes, I did mean St. Maarten. We did the butterfly farm and it was ok. It was kind of short tho.

Unfortunently our excursions on St. Thomas never got put in to the computers or something, so today we just went shopping.

The teen club still isn't my or my friends that i made on board's type of thing. lol. We would rather hang out around the ship all night.

Have a good trip but stay safe, maybe your mum needs to rethink which is more important i'd rather have my son safe in the cabin before i sleep and miss the excursions, just my opinion, obviously she's comfortable with her decisions. Look after yourself, enjoy the cruise.

Looks like I caught the Magic just as she was leaving St Thomas today 6-30-04.

My DS 14 enjoyed the Teen areas (Common Ground, the Stack). He liked the counselors, making new friends, using the computers, etc. I would not appreciate it if he stayed out all night and slept on chairs on the deck. He would be doing that again.

Well it's good that you're parents are able to trust you and are making their own judgements that are good for your family. My parents trusted me like that when I was your age as well and I'm sure they would have let me do the same thing. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your trip! I'll be there in about 8 weeks and can't wait! :teeth:

Have fun!!!
