ANd now it is Live from the Eastern Disney Magic...4-16-2005!

I have been waiting for months to sit in the Cove Cafe and type out that statement...

The boat is a rocking... but it is not too bad.... We left the port about 5:25 and saw a family of six get on about 5:15.. off that Disney bus and on the front entrance of the ship they all waved as they got on board. Was rather funny.

Sailway party was great..... fun as always... the weather today Sunday is great about 75 and the winds have died down to a more normal breeze. Boy was it windy last night! The waves were about 11-15 Ft according to the TV screen and labelled as rough....several people ill... but most getting those sea legs... what a great rocking motion for sleeping!

Everybody seems real happy.,,, what a place to be... I will be signing on a few times this week to give an update... I know that I always love reading those live posts and feeling jealous that I was not there also... now it is my turn... (Sorry...just had to put that dig in..)

Have a magical Disney Day

Thanks for checking in disneyma - dig away. I felt the same way as I posted on our live report started by JanDave last September.

Have a great cruise, hopefully the winds will die down and everyone can enjoy their day at sea and get into the pools. Looking forward to reading your posts this week.

Another Jealous Dis'er here... :earseek: Nice to read these live reports..It is the best until we all get back on her...Enjoy your week. :cloud9:

I just off yesterday - The waves were really rough on our last night - about 13-20ft -

Hope you have as much fun as we did on our trip - Bon Voyage!

We, too, are on the Eastern Magic. We're having fun, too, but have to report that the weather yesterday was cold and windy and the seas are very rough! The boy at the table next to us got sick at dinner last night. We felt bad for him. I've seen a lot of CMs wearing sea bands. Today the seas are much calmer - though still rocking quite a bit. There are rumors on board that another ship turned around last night and returned to port because people were falling and getting hurt. I certainly didn't see anything that bad on the Magic, but has anyone else heard that report?

I'll try to do a more detailed cruise report when I get back (I'm taking notes so I don't forget anything.) So far, it has been OK. I'm still waiting for the magical part. A lot of that is weather related - not Disney's fault. The Mickey pool was closed this morning because of the wind and the rough seas. The kids were disappointed, but hopefully it will open later today.

DS9 loves the Lab, but DD5 wants no part of it. Oh well. We got our Palo ressies and spa ressies with no problem. Looking forward to my massage later today.

In short, we are having a good time. Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon - that will make it a lot better!

I'll also try to post again a few times this week.

Glad the seas are getting better. We are on the ship next week. What movies are currently playing on board? Thanks and have a great vacation!

Just back yesterday from the western. They were playing The Pacifier, Ice Princess, Princess Diary, Finding Nemo,The Aviator. I can't remember the others. In the room they had Little Black Book, Finding Neverland & again I'm drawing a blank. From one Long Islander to another HAVE A GREAT TRIP

Hope the seas calm down for you! I'll be in your place in three weeks. Can't wait! Have a Magical time and keep us posted!

we just heard on the news that a NCL cruise ship recived hull damage as it was returning to NY and the passengers were saying the seas were very rough

I can help with that list of movies. Here's one more. National Treasure. I only remember it because Dh was so anxious to see it. The only problem was he got the day wrong. :(

Thanks for the live update. It seems like it was only a few days ago I was doing exactly what you are now. Oh, yeah. It ws only a few days ago. (sigh)

Enjoy!!

Thanks so much for your live updates...we will be onboard as soon as you get off and I cannot wait!!! I sure hope the seas calm down for you...I know my kids would be very disappointed if the pools were closed so I can imagine yours are too! Can you tell me if Kadhir is onboard...he is from Turkey and serves drink up by the adult pool? He is FANTASTIC!!! We are hoping to see him again.
Have a great trip and keep posting!

My sister Kristen and her husband Anthony are on your ship right now too...they have a son anthony -10 and daughter Christina -4...she is a ball of energy...they are from Reading, MA...I was hoping she would email me from your ship to let me know how it is going. Glad to hear teh seas are getting calmer now...there was a report on teh news about a 7 story high wave that made another ship return to dock in NY.YIKES. If you meet Kristen and Anthony tell them Karen said "HI" and it is beautiful in Maine right now...sunny and 80's for the next 3 days. :teeth:
