Hi Ho Campers!! How was your week? :D

Well, it was certainly an interesting one here at the Saturday Night Chat Institute Of Wine, Pizza, and Television Studies as your humble chat hosts continued to scan the globe seeking out new technology, techniques, and mixed drinks in a never ending effort to make your saturday night chat experience more enjoyable and fulfilling. . . :)

As usual, I took the lead, once again venturing forth for another week on the road here in the New Orleans area. . . watching hours of television during the day, and scouring the French Quarter by night, picking up bartending and food preparation tips from some of the finest chefs, bartenders, and winos in the world. . . ;) . . :teeth:

Now, you'd think my dedication and personal sacrifice would be appreciated by my lovely co-host Marla. . . but much to my surprise she actually became upset about my large bar tabs. . uhhhhh.. research expenditures, and accused me of being out partying while she was stuck in Bald Knob maintaining the Institute and keeping the hillbillies off my Mercedes. . . :o

I was shocked of course at her baseless charges, but never let it be said that I don't have compassion and empathy. . instead of debating the the point, I asked Marla if she'd be interested in taking a cruise, and she readily agreed that yes, she would indeed enjoy that. :)

Of course, a few unlucky streaks at the video poker machines on Bourbon St. had stretched our budget to the limit, but luckily I had been out drinking. . uhhh. . researching the night before in Johnny Whites Bar and had met one Capt. Billy Botaire of the S.S. Gumbo out of Delacrouix, LA. and all it took was a phone call to hook Marla up on her cruise. . . :)

And I'm pleased to say she made it back just this afternoon, and although she looked a bit tired and wouldn't actually speak to me, I'm assuming she had a grand time, because she did throw some pretty nice looking shrimp at me, and the good Captain said she was one of the best net haulers he'd have work on his trawler. . . ;) :jester:

So, all in all it was a very produtive week. . .and it reminded me of an old saying we have here at the Institute. . . "Employees Must Wash Hands After Most Bathroom Breaks " . . . :smooth:

Any-hoo, being down here around all this good Louisiana food and drink inspired us. . . so tonight, Disney After Dark will be heading to Disney's Port Oreleans Riverside Resort where we'll be eating, drinking, and drinking some more at Boatwright's Dining Hall !!! :bounce: :D

That's right kids, located in the heart of Disney's sanitized version of The Big Sleazy, Boatwright's is a pleasant little eatery that serves up some fine Southern cuisine like Bayou Salmon, Shrimp Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, and of course, beer . . :bounce: :)

So why not come by and join in the fun? As always, the food, drink and fun are on the house, and everyone is invited. . . so fire up your computer, and join your chat hosts Marla and WillyJ. this Saturday night in the Main Chat Lobby at 9PM EST. It's a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to hang out with your fellow DIS'ers and get to know each other better in a relaxed, informal Atmosphere. :) As always, general Disney or Universal questions are encouraged and appreciated, and there will be a room full of Orlando veterans there to help you out. . .

Everyone's invited, so see ya there! :D
