Hi all!

We are headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico for our first stop. We are supposed to arrive there tomorrow evening with a day in port on Tuesday. Then we are off to St. Thomas, a day at sea, and a day at Castaway Cay assuming all continues to go well there. I was told today by a worker in the salon that one of the huts for massages was damaged, but everything else is doing well. Apparently the dredging equipment was already there for another planned project, so that is why they are planning to be up and running so quickly.

Since San Juan is one of the ports on the special cruises, we have been able to purchase limited edition pins and also clothing with the San Juan theme.

Today has been very windy, but lots of sun. The boat is rocking gently, and all is well.

We are having a blast. Have a great week! ::MinnieMo :Pinkbounc

Hi Tammy...Thanks for the live reports. Keep them coming. Have a great trip.

Don't you just love the surprise changes in itinerary. I know we loved hearing we were going to CC first and then also Costa Maya (by the way which is awesome and should be added.

Awesome news about CC! I had all but given up hope that we would be able to visit and had even told my dh and kids not to expect that we would.

What great news!

Kris

And let us know if you see the cats on CC. :D

Thanks for the live report - love reading them.

Here's hoping you do make it to CC!

Love the live reports - thank you so much for taking the time to do them. Please let us know how your week goes. Wishing you lots of sunshine, stary nights and smooth seas!

Hi again!

We are having a ton of fun on the ship. They have really planned so much, you could not wish to find more to do!

We are porting in San Juan tonight, which means we are going to be the only ship doing an overnight port there. We can get off tonight if we wish.

The captain told us today, that we are now 900 miles away from Ivan, so all is well there, but I am praying for my friends on the Gulf Coast.

Someone asked about movies. I don't have my list with me, but I here are the few I can remember:

Brother Bear
The Notebook
Princess Diaries 2
The Alamo
The Village

The weather today is low 80s and again, gentle rocking. It is extremely windy on deck...as it has been everday.

No firm word on CC yet, but everyone (crew) remains optimistic. I have seen reports that we are going to Nassau if CC isn't ready, but we were told on board we would spend that day at sea.

Have a great week!

Thanks, Tammy. I look forward to your next report and hoping, hoping, hoping we get to CC this week...:p

Thanks for the report! I really appreciate you letting us know what is happening. Can't wait for our turn!!!! Maybe we will pass you on the road on Saturday!

DJ

Thx for your reports! Best wishes for continued good weather!

That would be wonderful to have an overnight port stay then the next day at the port, esp. since it is San Juan. You will have a lot of time to enjoy that port. Since Puerto Rico is US will you still have to go through immigration in St. Thomas? Just curious. Enjoy your cruise. Kathy

We had a fabulous beach excursion to Condado Beach this morning. We only had one brief downpour and then it was all sunny skies and low 80s.

We have been on board about an hour. Captain Tom just announced that we are setting sail early tonight 6:00 instead of 8:00 p.m. (acutally that decision was made just prior to off-loading last night, but it was a change) Tropical Storm Jeanie (winds are 60+) is 120 miles away from us and headed at us at 12mph. St. Thomas has canceled all excursions and will close the port there by morning. Therefore we are headed for a day at sea, followed by Nassau on Thursday and Castaway Cay on Friday!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: This was confirmed by Captain Tom. He said the vegitation will need time to grow back, but we will get to be the first guests to experience the island since Frances.

My brother is on board and this is his 5th cruise, and now will be his 5th trip to Nassau...lol! I also won a diamond tennis bracelet to claim at Diamonds International, so I have to check with Guest Services to see if I still can claim it.

We are having a great time...and hey, what is an adventure without a little mystery? :sunny:

I hope everyone is well and safe! Have a great day!!

Thanks for the update!

My sister just called me again from the Magic and was so surprised to know I knew the changes already in your itinerary courtesy of these boards thanks to your messages!! I really appreciate all the detail of everyone's reports from the ship - keep it going!!!

Have a great cruise and enjoy Castaway Cay!:sunny:

Have a great cruise and it sounds like you may also have a bit of a mystery cruise.

What were the planned ports before Jean?

TIA

Joanna

Did anyone get off the ship at San Juan the night before? Was there something to do there??
