Back from the frozen North! The temp Saturday morning at Winter Park was a big ZERO. But the day turned out beautiful. Sunny and about 20 degrees. We were able to sit outside at a bar and have some brews for lunch after ski. Since I am not a big skier, went on two snowmobile rides of two hours each. Very cool. On the second trip, Sunday, it was snowing like crazy and returned after dark. More than very cool, it was COLD! The big joke of the weekend was I kept asking where the beach is. Willie Miller and cold weather do not get along well together. Add in the altitude sickness, mushy snow mess, and dried out everything, and well, youse guys can have the snow. Did I ever tell yall that I love the beach?

That cruise would save me money, but DD Hayley has basketball games that week, not to mention school. We have to take our trips when school is out. And that is always the most expensive time!

I just spoke with Lampy. His cataract surgery came out great. Said he is 20/15 now in that eye. So he won't need glasses anymore. He said he was home by 11:00 having a guess what---Miller Lite.

AIN'T IT THE TRUTH! Once you have sailed with the best, it takes a while to feel comfortable with a new crowd, I guess.

I am working on a plan to get the Turkeys together. Has to be a party place. Vegas? Big Easy? Beautiful downtown Beaumont, Texas?

Speaking of trips,

Kelli and I are heading to Austin the weekend of February 10-11 with another couple. Since I went to Colorado with her, I have to take her away for a quick weekend. (Although, she and DD are going to CO. during Spring Break)

We are going with another couple and planning to go out to dinner, then see some bands on 6th street entertainment district.

Anybody gonna be in that neighborhood?

Vegas sounds good! How far is Beaumont from Galveston? How about a 3 or 4 day cruise on RCCL or Carnival (I know it's not DCL, but we'd still have fun!) Are you going to be stuck at work on spring break?

Yes,it does feel uncomfortable to get use to a new crowd.

Willie-Has Charlie been talking to you?He has been after me to book something for Vegas<G>.He has been really busy at work which is why he hasn't been on here.Austin sounds great!You and Kelli will have a great time.
