I miss these guys:

That's Alex and Daniel, our server team. They took care of the TCD's, Goofyhouk's, Disneyfan37 and Ratt45, as well as the 5J's and the Favoriteslave's. They sure were a good team. Even Mrs. TCD liked them.

O.K., O.K. Willie......I did it......I called DCL and got my "quotes" for two rooms for the 10 day sailing......We have more neighbors that want to sail with us......I guess. So this week I am looking in a "group" discount....the do give one for buisnesses and reunions, why shouldn't we qualify? I guess I'll just be "in trouble" like that is something different! Iceman, Millers, Lampies....any other Turkeydayers?

Lampy- I am interested. Mrs. TCD says no to cruising at Christmas, but if the price is right, who knows?

Willie and Andrew--Chuck and I have been laughing reading your posts!! For the record Chuck is 6'8 1/2" tall. It's very difficult to lose him in crowds!! I agree w/ Willie--I would not recommend referring to him as Bowser!! One day a guy wanted to "fight" Chuck for a parking spot (we had the spot first)--when Chuck got out of the car, the other man said "never mind" got back in his car and sped away.

Another time a police officer stopped him, he asked Chuck for his license, Chuck got out of the car, the officer told him to get back in his car and then the officer got in his car and drove away!!

Y'all are too funny!!

No, Kris, you have it wrong. Mrs. TCD loves lots of things, but they often are not things that TCD wants anything to do with.

And no, Mrs. TCD does not know about how many times she has been mentioned here, and we need to keep it that way.

On the last morning of the cruise, I had to rush her out of breakfast because Dubbya was getting a little too chatty.

Oh Tonya -

I only WISH! Next year my 2 dd's will be in college. One away from home and one locally. There is no way I would be taking them out of school :-(

Not that I wouldn't like to, but once in awhile the parental responsibility thing hits me in the head and I say to myself: "HEY! I'm a parent! OOPS! Let me check if this is acceptable." And a good deal of the time, what I want to do really isn't -

Then I was thinking about perhaps we could do a cruise over the summer months. But of course, DCL is WAAYYY too expensive for us to even consider. Even in my childish state.

So I started thinking about maybe another line. But with the teens I'm thinking it might be a little bit scary. I felt that they were pretty safe on the Magic. But, you know on the other lines that are less family oriented there can be some singles, partiers, etc. And with my dd's hanging out in the clubs just because they "can" (being 18+) well that adds up to trouble in my book.

Not to say that our group was not a party bunch, but say -- there couldn't be a more harmless gang of partiers, I'd say.

So, anyway..... wahhhhhhh! No cruises are in the books at this moment.

I understand the concern about the other lines with older teenagers.

Actually I think you're an excellent parent! Come on --- a parent who takes their kid out of school to go on a Disney cruise??? Does it get any better?

I used to take my kids out of school all the time for trips. But once they reach the college level, the fun and games has to end. Since, basically they are responsible for themselves and I can't be the one to say -- hey, you should decide to cut classes for a week.

Anyway, if I just had David around, heck - 4th grade? Pfffttt! We'd be traveling right now

Tonya, we booked the "week after" in 2002 (cancelled by DCL) and 2003. DDs LOVE the east and yes, it is WAY CHEAPER! We actually flew down Thanksgiving morning and stayed at WDW Thurs. and Fri. air was less also....

Dubbya- Man, you have me all wrong. I am just a simple country lawyer, who, like the rest of my fellow members of the bar, is just trying to eke out a living by charging reasonable fees and only taking meritorious cases. I am not sure where you get the misconceptions stated in your post?

You know, maybe I should try to be a little more daring. You might have a point there. Now, why do you say Laurie and Davis are adventurers? I thought they were in their cabin early every night? Do you know something the rest of us don't?
