To All....

I was so happy to be the recipient of the ill-placed Lampsky magnet... and really did think it was meant for me since I made a fuss about him possibly being in my corridor... and it gave me the best laugh of the cruise... but now that I know for sure it was totally an accidental placement I no longer feel privileged or right in keeping my precious souvenir!!

Given the above, I will be placing it on e-bay and perhaps given the extreme value of this item I will then get to go on the xmas 2006 cruise!

May the highest bidder win!

I bid 50 cents...... Pam

Yee-haw! We have 10+ inches here in Chicago and it is absolutely gorgeous today. The sun is shining and the snow is sparkling! I LOVE winter and I LOVE snow.

When David gets home from school, I'll be out there building a snowman with him --- mmmm, hot chocolate with whipped cream when we come inside.

Hooray for snow!

Kris

We had about 6 inches Monday- snowed from about 11 am until midnight, so kids were off Tuesday. Cody was home sick Monday, he and I went back to school Wednesday, then we stayed home Thurs to take him to the Dr.- had "wintry mix" last night so kids are home again today. So Cody and I had a 1 day week at school.... not bad..... We were a little disappointed in todays weather- was supposed to be 6-8 inches starting around 6 pm last night- but got icy mix for 2 hours over night instead... now it is all melted because it is 40 degrees!!!
But I will alway remember that my first experience with "the white stuff" this winter was on November 25 in Castaway Cay!!! :) Pam

TCD....every Feb. our subdivision has a themed "pot luck" party that 5 couples get picked to "host". Last year was "the greatest show on earth" (circus theme). Me, Olga the Russian trepeeze artist with a steroid experiment gone bad........the year before was midevel times....me, I was "the joker with the poker"....(don't ask, I can't tell here) the yera before was wizzard of oz.....yes, I was the "tin man" can you guess? Yep, dressed as a MGD lite can......the year prior WE hosted and it was a 70's flashback.....we decorated the club house in 70's and "Dick" was one of our props.....well after the party (at about 3 a.m.) he was GONE...as it turned out one of our "committe members" took him for the year and took pics on all vacations holidays etc.....then passed him on at our September party (reunion for our committee) in South haven Michigan.......Yep, this year is going to be "our travels with Dick".... :moped: :rotfl2:

Ron- Are there any houses for sale in your sub-division?

I think Mrs. TCD would love it there! :rotfl2:

W - Dan walked in room, when I was reading your question of "thong comfort" and he said to tell you "comfort is not the object" - he then casually mentioned "I think I saw those buns walking around once" - yeah - now I know why he said he was going for a "walk on the beach"

Bev, you guys are tooooo funny!! Go DAN!! Smooth excuse to walk the sand!! :rotfl:

Hey~Has anyone heard anything more about DCL cruising the Med.??? Dubba-Ya??? Lampy??? You guys always seem to know the scoops before anyone else!!

OK, here is what I posted. What do you think? Was I kinda mean about it?

Hmmmm? The guy who played Scotty on Star Trek was James Doohan?(sp) He was 5'7" tall and 85 years old when he passed away last July.

scotty.jpg

Willie Miller is six foot, three inches tall, weighs 260 on "light" days, age 47 and is the biggest "hick redneck" that the State of Texas has ever produced. (And proud of it!)

Are you saying that I look like a dead 85 year old Scottsman? If so, I guess I had better change my signature pic soon!

WilLiE

Mean ? Yes? GOOD! It was meant to be!

W

Go Dubbya/Scotty!

Ask your new friends to post their photos, and we can help you pick out the celebrities that they resemble.

I don't need to see this lady's photo to get started, tell her that you think she resembles Granny Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies!

Willie-I agree with you about posting on the 12/16/06 thread--we need a more lively conversation!! Also, my friend Sue booked her air and ground transfers thru Disney for the Turkey Cruise. Everything worked out great--she was on a non stop flight each way and never touched her bags. Also, on the bus to the port they played a disney cruise video. She is really happy that she booked the air and ground transportation thru Disney.

I skipped around while reading posts- not sure if this has already been suggested- maybe you can post some turkey day pix tioliven things up on that thread- some of the pix of Lampy out to do it.... then again, maybe it would scare some people off the trip, causing alot of cancellations, and the rates would drop.......... :scratchin Pam

Kris- I still can never tell if you are serious. But, in this case, I'll say congratulations. Better you than me. I had more than enough snow in my lifetime. It is 62 here!

pfffttt! Snow day??!! What's 10 measly inches of snow? All schools open today and I went Christmas shopping after I dropped them off. The only traffic problem we had in Chicago was one Southwest Airlines jet sliding off the end of the runway at Midway, crashing through a retaining wall and fence and coming to a stop in the middle of Central Avenue.

Pilot must have been a Texan ;)

Pam- You need to find that thread and spend a few minutes looking at it. You are right, those folks are not going to mix well with Dubbya/Scotty and Lampy.

Hey Dubbya/Scotty-

Since it is a lot more work for me to keep typing both of your nick-names, I'm just going to call you Scotty now. So, when you see a post addressed to Scotty, that's for you. Got it? :rotfl2:

I would be willing to wager that "Scotty" ain't all that common a nick-name in your neck of the woods.

Hey Kris, the car that got hit by the plane..........the people are from Leroy Indiana, it is out the back side of our subdivision.....literally 2 miles from us....some of the stations are saying "Crown Point" because leroy isn't on the map.....population of about 200....

We too have had 10+ inches here in N.W. Indiana......no "snow day" for our DDs! Not even a delay!!

Yeah, well, here in Virginia we aren't so well prepared... And we do live in a rather rural county.. However, even the federal government workers (that would be in our nations' capital, you know) had a 2 hour delay today.... I know, we're a bunch of wimps.......... Pam

That is very sad, Ron. I don't mean to joke about the plane accident. My prayers go out to this family.

For all of you Christmas 06 cruisers who were not on the Turkey Day cruise - you are lucky to have to have some of the Turkey Day cruisers sailing with you!!! They were all very nice, and alot of fun!!!! There were a couple trouble makers in the group, and I see that they did rebook for your cruise, but you'll be able to figure out which ones they are long before you sail!!! Okay, so there really was only one trouble maker....
