We arrived Saturday around 3:00. We are in The Paddock, room 4727, a 2BR with a nice water view. (8 nights) The room is very clean and looks new. I've looked pretty closely and can't find ANY issues. :thumbsup2

Check in was fast and the CM pleasant.

We enjoyed dinner at Jiko Saturday night. Wonderful meal.

Sunday included the Studios, Sci Fi for lunch, and back to the room for Steaks and the Superbowl.

Today, we are off to the MK and tonight Epcot.

More to follow!

Have a great trip!

How are your accomadations at SSR? How are the park crowds?

Post some pictures, if you are able

have fun, be in the magic kingdom one week from today. one bedroom at ssr for three nights and three nights at okw. cant wait.

I hope you continue to have a great trip! Did you cook the steaks on a grill at SSR?
Bobbi:goodvibes

Yay - I love "Live" reports! We own at SSR and are going back for Spring Break. Have a great time.

WDW Lifelong Fan: We're here, too...and following in your footsteps it would seem..we arrived yesterday, and went to the Studios...today was Magic Kingdom, but tonight we're "doing" DTD (that Lego store is powerfully alluring to our wonderful nine-year-old boy!)...we're across the way from you, at Congress Park...swimming at the main pool (why can't I ever remember its name? High Rock? High Point? something like that), prior to heading to our ADRs at 5:30 in DTD...hope we run into each other! Dani

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

Went to MK this morning. 10 minutes top for everything, except Pirates, it was around 25 minutes. No big deal. Came back and went swimming.

To answer a few questions:

The weather is warm with no humidity.
Crowds so far have been minimal.
Steaks were cooked inside, I forgot about the grills..... :rolleyes1 :)

Main pool = High Rock Springs

Overall, the property inside and out looks to be in EXCELLENT shape!

On the way to Epcot and Teppan Edo.

Sounds like you're having a great trip.

Will you be visiting the Polynesian?

How does the Super Bowl thing go? Was Eli in the MK parade today?

Hey WDWlifelongfan, please give me your review of Teppan Edo because we ate there before the renovation and after. Our opinion is it has gone downhill after the reservation because they dumbed down the menu so much. We were on the dining plan and that was the most restrictive restraunt we ate at on the plan. The food was OK though, nothing magical. The first time we went before the renovation we were blown away.

I really need to try the shushimi side of the restaurant.

We are having a great time.
I didn't see the SB parade...we just watched the game last night.:)

As you may remember, the POLY is my first and STILL my favorite WDW Resort. (Ah the memories starting in 1971!) We are having breakfast there later in the week. We will be meeting my BIL and his family who are coming in from Boston.

In fact, we have four rooms reserved at the POLY the week of
July 4th!

We are jealous! We are waiting for our first trip home in July. We hope you are having a great time.

Good Morning All!
Thanks for the well wishes.

We are just back from our morning run. Beautiful morning and nice course using the paths here at SSR.

Lugnut, a brief disclaimer: We have a lot of our meals planned this trip because we took my sister with us. She is ill and we told her whatever she wanted to do, eat, shows, etc, we would do. We usually eat very little, fruits, salads, etc. We've eaten at almost every WDW restaurant over the years. We do not use the Dining Plan. We do enjoy nice dining and had a pleasant meal at Jiko Saturday night.

Anyway...:rolleyes1 We were pleasantly surprised at Teppan Edo last night. We too had not eaten there since the modifications. There seemed to be more people in the restaurant than the rest of Epcot!:)
Service was marginal but the food was very good. My sister really enjoyed the experience, as did my DW and I. It might be worth another try for you. :thumbsup2

Well, off to the shower and then DTD followed by Coral Reef for lunch.
Have a great day everyone!
