 so happy to see another SSR Monkey report!!! Your last post made my day and had me laughing right out loud!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Whew! We just made it back before the big rain storm! We had a really nice day in MK. First we went to the Laugh Floor. It was a really good one although they still didn't like Koala's jokes. Maybe next time. After that we headed to ToonTown. I really like this pumpkin.

DSC01780.jpg

Nobody could tell me where I could buy Mickey Ears for my pumpkins at home. I might just have to make some. After I accidentally cut off Koala's little toe, I'm no longer allowed to use power tools, so I'll have to ask for help.

Mickey was nice enough to let me borrow his bike, so I went for a quick spin.

DSC01783.jpg

After ToonTown we went to Dumbo. We thought the lever inside controlled the ears, but I guess not.

DSC01787.jpg

We saw some characters in front of the castle.

Koala loves bunnies!

DSC01775.jpg

Donald and I sang a song together.

DSC01771.jpg

Goofy and I had some deep thoughts...

DSC01774.jpg

After a trip down Main Street, I turned into Frankenmonkey.

DSC01769.jpg

I love this scene...

Now it's time for some golf outlet shopping I think--for Dad, not for me. Golf is not my game. I drive the golf cart all over the greens and usually get kicked out by the second hole.

Not sure what we'll get into tonight, but I'll keep you posted!

We are so excited that our favorite monkey is once again on the loose at Saratoga Springs. Loving your TR.

Hellooooo humans! In case you haven't heard, we are currently experiencing a tropical depression in the Orlando area. That didn't stop our shenanigans this evening, we just didn't go to any parks. Because of the rain we did end up going to some golf stores for Dad. I don't know what it is with me, but apparently I just get into trouble wherever I go. I got yelled at for playing with the golf club head covers. I'm sorry, if you put a Nittany Lion right next to the Michigan State Spartan there's going to be a problem. So what if I was beating up the Spartan with the Lion...that happens all the time. Once he was down, I moved on to the Buckeye. So what? I just recreated what happened at the Ohio State game last weekend. Anyway, after I got caught, I settled for chasing Koala around the store with the hummingbird head cover. It had a really long beak, so between that, my long legs and Koala's prosthetic toe, I really had an advantage. Mom caught us though and put us in time out. There's time out everywhere!!

We went to Walgreens because Mom needed some Advil (Koala and I had nothing to do with that). I looked for Moonblock, but they said someone just bought the last one and it's on backorder. Darn! I'll just have to be very careful.

I realized today that I'm not as young as I used to be. I overheard a teen refer to Space Mountain as Cyberspace Mountain. I think I would enjoy Cyberspace Mountain more---it wouldn't make me throw up like Space Mountain does. Or at least it would be vitrual vomit...way less messy.

Mom and Dad went to DTD for a bit to do some perusing. I explored the room a bit and was puzzled as to why the lampshade shows a cat riding a horse. I'm pretty sure cats don't ride horses. I'm going to have to ask about that at the front desk.

DSC01796.jpg

While I was exploring, Koala called to get our tickets for MNSSHP. We're going to go on Thursday, I can't wait!!

DSC01797.jpg

Then Koala decided to treat himself to an evening at the spa.

DSC01801.jpg

I think he got confused about how to use the QTips. Do NOT try this at home.

DSC01803.jpg

I'm hoping this tropical depression took its anti-depressants tonight so we can go to DHS in the morning. I need my Toy Story Mania fix! Now it's time for bed. I just hope Koala doesn't poke me with his QTips in the middle of the night.

Today was an excellent day. After an early morning walk we got ready to go to DHS. After the rain last night the humidity dropped and it was cloudy this morning, so it was great weather! We got to DHS right after rope drop and by the time we got to TSM FP were up to 11:45! I thought that was odd because there was only a row and a half of cars in the parking lot. Oh well, we moved on to see Woody and Buzz. They decided it was time to dance.

DSC01836.jpg

DSC01830.jpg

Then we had a chance to see Muppet Vision. Koala and I tried to tag along as groupies for Electric Mayhem, but once we saw the bus they travel on we thought we might be safer with Mom and Dad.

DSC01907.jpg

I figured out where I want to go for summer camp next year. Who doesn't want to go to Camp Wocka Wocka?!?

DSC01908.jpg

Koala really enjoyed the show.

DSC01912.jpg

I think Miss Piggy needs to go to the Spa at SSR for some help with her moustache.

DSC01903.jpg

Kermit's right...It is easy being green.

DSC01904.jpg

Dad and his friend decided they wanted to check out Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster. Lucky for Koala and I, Mom doesn't like those rides so we went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground for a bit. The playdoh was really cool, but overall I don't think I would like being ant sized.

While we were waiting for Dad, we headed to the animation area to see what was happening. That's when we ran into the motherload of characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Tigger, Eeyore, Pooh, Piglet, Goofy, Pluto, the scary bear from TS3, Lilo and Stich, the Incredibles, and Chip and Dale were all there at once! Wow!! I avoided Chip and Dale since the last time I saw them they shook me and turned me upside down, but we did get some good pictures with some of the other characters.

What's with Pooh's flat top?

DSC01913.jpg

I wish someone could do something to cheer up Eeyore! I told him to turn his frown upside down, but he just sighed. Maybe he needs anti-depressants (just like the tropical depression).

DSC01917.jpg

This was my favorite experience of the day. A kiss from Minnie!

DSC01918.jpg

We had a good ride on TSM too! Mom and Dad were both cats this time. Last time they were beavers...I don't like beavers. They have big scary teeth!

I think now we are going to head to the pool. I'll be sure to use my sunblock this time. Thankfully I have some of that. Still looking for moonblock...

I am so loving this TR. What fun. Great shots with the characters.

Reading along. Great report. I love the monkey idea. Is SSR as bad as they say? Please tell me some positives over all the other resorts?

SSRMonkey - you sure are giving Curious George a run for his money! Very much enjoying your antics!

We had our first experience at the High Rock Spring pool. Mom and Dad were willing to suffer through the wet monkey smell and let me go into the pool. It was so much fun! I love the slide. I must have gone down at least 15 times.

Koala and I tried to jump from the starting point of the slide into the pool and we really got yelled at by the lifeguard. He said that there were signs posted, but the problem is that the signs weren't in Japanese. I decided I"m not going to read anything in English anymore. Surely that will help me learn Japanese more quickly!

After we regrouped with some free ice cream by the pool we headed back to the room to take a shower and then got into some more trouble.

I temporarily lifted my ban on English to learn how to operate the high lift.

DSC01936.jpg

This was very informative, but I already knew all this stuff from my heavy equipment operator licensing exam. I felt bad for lifting my ban on English. (It's back in place now, so please excuse any typos, I changed the keyboard entry to Japanese characters.)

Success!

DSC01935.jpg

I stopped to smell the flowers--I have a habit of doing that. One of these days I'm going to get stung in the nose by a bee.

DSC01934.jpg

I hope I'm not allergic or I'll end up looking like Will Smith in Hitch.

I was curious to see what this bird was looking at. And why it was making him spew water. I didn't see anything. Wierd bird.

DSC01938.jpg

For dinner, we went to the great, All-American burger joint--Wendys! :) Mom really wanted a baked potato.

Koala and I tried on our Halloween costumes to make sure they fit. We tend to eat too many pretzels of gargantuan proportions on vacation. Luckily our costumes are a little stretchy so we're ok. Koala might just look a little bloated.

After some relaxing in the room for a bit we think we're going to head to bed early. Tomorrow we're off to AK again to try to catch Nemo. Well, not the real Nemo, just the show. :) And we'll be up late tomorrow for MNSSHP! I'll be back tomorrow!

I am ready for SSR Monkey to have his own float in Mickeys Jammin Jungle Parade!!! King Louie has to accept him right????? Lost cousin or something???

The weather was beautiful today! It started out cloudy and about 75. It sprinkled just a little bit, but then it cleared off and turned out to be perfect!

We went back to AK this morning to fit in some of the things we missed the other day. We started at Bugs Life. I forgot how scary it is. Well, I wasn't scared but Koala was. He hates cockroaches!! In the lobby though, I found this awesome dung ball. I wish I could make one this big.

DSC01940.jpg

After that we headed to Asia to see some more animals. I saw these flying foxes (at least I think that's what they are). They were really gross.

DSC01946.jpg

The CM in the exhibit was hilarious though, he sounded exactly like Ben Stein. Bueller...Bueller... Unfortunately, he wasn't trying to be hilarious, that was just his real voice. He was very informative about flying foxes and fruit bats though.

We saw some other cool animals on the trek.

DSC01952.jpg

MEOW!!!

DSC01949.jpg

We were able to get in to see Nemo which was very good (as usual). Koala wanted to go to school with Nemo, but Mom and Dad said no.

DSC02028.jpg

We decided it was time for lunch and got another round of Earl of Sandwich. Grilled cheese is my favorite. Then we went to the pool for the afternoon to soak up some rays. Now we're going to head to DTD for a bit before MNSSHP. I can't wait! We're all dressed and ready to go. Stay tuned for pictures from the party!

They look so cute in their costumes!!!!:lovestruc

Awww you both look great in your costumes :goodvibes

Koala even has boots to cover up his prosthetic toe ;)

Hope you get lots of candy and have a great time!

Tracy

Be careful smelling the flowers, definitely don't want you to get a snake bite.

I love reading your trip reports, you and Koala always look like you are having such a good time.
Your costumes look great, I hope you had a good time at MNSSHP, I personally love the candy and the parade is the best.

Koala and I are back from the AWESOME MNSSHP, but Mom and Dad said I have to go to bed and am only allowed to post one picture. I'll be sure to give a detailed report in the morning! Happy Halloween!
