Hi fellow Dis-ers!
Coming to you live from Bldg 4 at POFQ. Weather is perfect...warm, but a nice strong breeze. Day 3 of 7. Had a fantastic 'Ohana's dinner last night complete with drinks and interaction from Lapoua!!!! WOW! My family was impressed! Today was EPCOT and tonight DTD and maybe Illuminations. Lunch today at the Biergarten....FABULOUS!!!! Just like my Oma's homeooking from Austria. Just had to post a live thread because I've not been able to before! Would be happy to answer any questions when we get back later!!!

Woo-hoo....I'm at WDW!!!!!!

Crowds are very good...we are also following guidelines from Tourguide Mike so we are not encountering high crowds anywhere and are getting everything done we want.

As for weather, thundershowers have been forcasted each afternoon...about 30-40% and both afternoons at some point have gotten cloudy for a period of time, but no rain. Just nice and cool with a breeze and then no direct sun. I have been pleasently surprised by the weather...so do-able and more comfortable than I expected even though it is reaching 92-93 degrees.

Lapuoa (SP?) is the lady who does the kiddie entertainment at 'Ohana's. She made my DH and DB the honorary moracca (SP?) shakers and limbo stick holders and they had a blast!! She also hung around our table and included all of us in the entertainment, which thrilled my parents to no end! DH and DB got the tastiest vanilla cup cake with the fluffiest whipped vanilla frosting...DH let me have ONE bite only because it was soooo good! It was THE BEST WDW restaraunt experience we have EVER had!!!!

DTD was crowded tonight, but I guess I always expect that so it was no different to me. Earl of Sandwich was FANTASTIC as always...we all ordered something different and loved it.

What is the best mode of transport from POFQ to/from DTD and how long does it take?

Am enjoying your report so much!!! It is like a letter from home! We will be at POFQ in 52 days Today is almost gone so no need to count it. We have asked for building 4 also. Have stayed there before and think it is the greatest!! Can you tell I am excited?? All the !!!! s! Have a great time and keep us posted!!!!

We just came home yesterday (6/29) from POFQ. Our first time there...building 5. Loved, loved, LOVED it there! Have a great magical rest of your vacation!!

Down to our last 6 weeks till POFQ. So excited . Give us any tips that you can.Transportation (bus/boat), room location, floor preference. Did you make any room requests, or take what they gave? How is your room? Cleanliness, mousekeeping service. Any tips would be great! ENJOY!

We will be at POFQ in 5 days for our first WDW trip! You're so lucky that the weather has been cooler for you. I'm hoping it will be for us as well!

The best way to DTD is the boat ride! The boats come every 10 min. and it is a wonderful 15 min ride!!!!!

We are on the first floor of 4, very close to the busses and main bldg. DH has a herniated disc (2 weeks before our trip!!!) and so we quick called and requested ground floor as close as possible to bus/main bldg. I almost cried for joy when she gave us our rooms because it has made a ton of difference in DH's mobility. He does fine if he has a break in the day and can sit most of the time. Standing and quick walking bother him.

POFQ is awesome as always. We made it to RS a few timed to check it out. It rained today just as we got going on the bus back from MK about 2:45. It rained for about and hour and just as quickly as it rained, the sun came out and it is hot and sunny again. The shuttle was supposed to launch and they halted it 9 min. before launch!!! Poooo....we were looking forward to that....maybe tomorrow for a second try.

New kid at Plaza Restaraunt SCREWED UP our reservation and forgot about us and we had to wait about 40 min for our table...grrrrr.....that made me really mad because we were sooooo hot and hungry. We checked in early but he never actually checked me in!!!! He realized his mistake after 1/2 hour when I asked him about it...he never apologized but the senior hostess did when she realized what he did.

Here for 4 more days!!! Would love to answer any more ?s!!!!

We are hoping to stay at POFQ for the first time next year. Is building 4 non-smoking? It sounds like a good building to request but I want to make sure

Glad your having a great time, DW and I got home 2 am this morning, US Air was behind schedule, and our flight was delayed 2.5 hours. We had a great time there for 10 days, was looking for a possible opening of POTC, but did not happen, will have to wait until our Dec trip. Have a wonderful time.
