Just a quick post to say everything looks great at OKW. We arrrived Monday about noon; our 2 BR was ready when I called at 2:30pm. We're in building 16, 2nd floor.

There are unwrapped styrofoam cups in the studio part of our unit, but I didn't bother calling for regular mugs as there are only three of us so we're using the mugs in the kitchen. I'm happy to report the thread-bare towels we had last year are gone; replaced with nice thick towels.

We went to EPCOT yesterday...I haven't seen it so uncrowded in years. No waits for anything we wanted to do. Test Track single rider line was a walk on at 3pm. I don't remember ever walking directly onto Maelstrom with no wait whatsoever.

We love building 16! I hope you aren't under a GV!

Sounds like a great start! Only 15 more days for me! Give us details when you can. Have fun!

BeaslyBoo, sounds like we will be there at the same time! Safe travels!

OP glad to hear everything is great!! I can't wait to be there.

Thanks for the update on the towels; it will be nice to have thick towels. The previous ones were getting kind of old.

Although we've never stayed in building 16, I've always wanted to-I suspect it has some beautiful views. If you get a chance, I'd love to see a picture of the view you have.

Oh yes! Please do post some view pictures if you get a chance.

Hello! Hope you are enjoying your vacation! We, too, thought there were less people at EPCOT last week than we've seen at this time of the year in the past. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos!

Shadeaux,

Your photos are amazing. I looked at the 2007 ones, too. Breathtaking...

Deb :thumbsup2

I have a question about one of your 2007 pictures.... when you are looking up the river is that the main pool at the top? and was the picture taken from your balcony? I am trying to guage distance at the resort. I am wondering if its any difference than say when you stay at the BCV and have to walk to SAB.

Have a great trip "home"! Thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks for the photos!! We will be there in 15 days! Can not wait!

Yes, that's the pool area and it was taken from the balcony of building 45, but to get there you have to walk over the bridge & then back toward the pool. It's not a direct walk. Still not very far.

Still enjoying our stay at OKW. We had lunch at Olivia's today. I had the roast beef and blue cheese sandwich, my husband and daughter both had the Angus chuck cheeseburger. Everything was very good, as usual. The parks were still relatively uncrowded as of yesterday. When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom after 10 am yesterday and saw the masses of people entering, I figured we'd be spending most of the day in line, but it didn't happen. Again we were able to walk on most attractions we wanted to with very little wait until around 3 pm. After that, lines were starting to get longer than we were willing to wait, so we headed back to OKW.

I've added some more pictures of OKW and around various parks:

Glad to hear you are enjoying your stay.

Are you a photographer or is it a hobby? Those pictures are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
