Live from...OAHU...with a message from FIDELIO!

Thanks everyone for letting me know who he is. Rae, Michael will be sooo surprised. I wouldn't tell him either. What fun it will be when you see his little eyes light up. You need to have your camera directly on him and snap his picture when he finds out. We want to see this picture posted, too.
Well, I will DEFINATELY have to check this guy out! Can't wait to hear you:cool: Sounds as though you are worth your weight in gold. See ya on the Sept.6 sailing:)

I sure will love to see his face and eyes too when he sees Fidelio!

Andy, thanks - I just love that picture of the both of them together! It shows just how happy Michael was to get his picture taken with the Great One!

Fidelio Rocks!

Rae

Michelle,
I thought you had found Fidelio in Hawaii!! :teeth:

Hope you are having an incredible vacation. Too bad my beach vacation at Myrtle Beach won't be as pretty as your beach vacation! I'm SOOOO jealous.

I am so happy you got on the boards here Fidelio. Whats with you.....the "Magic" fingers can play a piano but not a computer key board??? Sorry a little bit of sick humor. It is so WONDERFUL to hear from you, we put out an "all points bullentin" over the internet on different boards trying to find out where you were and what was going on. I am so happy for the cruisers that will be able to see and hear you in the fall. Needless to say I am so sad we won't have you with us when we cruise again Jan 3rd, 2004. If your wondering who this weird person is you may remember me from the song you wrote lyrics for "Travel Agent Gal". It is Diane, my mother in law Molly and I will be cruising again Jan 2004 and was hoping you would be with us. Both my previous DCL cruises I enjoyed watching and listening to your talent. You have built up quite a fan basis here at the Dis Boards. Please keep in touch with us all. If your ever up in the Pacific Northwest playing a gig let the boards know so I can look you up. I lost your e-mail address soon after leaving the ship this last cruise, so I wanted to let you know you weren't forgotten. Hope all is well with you and take care....
Diane, The Travel Agent Gal:smooth:

I just went back and re-read The Piano Guys post...was there a date change from the Aug. 2 sailing to Aug 8th???? Oh no....Rae check it out!

Fidelio - you won't be with us on August 2?!!!!!!

Too late to change our plans but ohhh, we will be so disappointed!!!!

Just know that you will be sorely missed on the August 2 cruise!!!

Rae

Welcome, Fidelio from your fans in WAKEFIELD !!

You and Jeff were the highlight of our January cruise. Please let us know if you will be playing in the Boston/New England area so we can see you. We have even talked of holding a mini Dis meet/Fidelio Fan Club meet at Foxwoods.

Do you know where Jeff is and if so, can you get him to post a note to all of us here.

Again, it's great to hear from you.

Nancy

I think I was on the same sailing in January that you were. Were you on the Eastern that left Port on January 25th? I see you are also from Massachusetts...you would not have been with the person that they fondly refered to as "Wakefield"? Would you??? I grew up in Melrose and now live in Dracut. Small world. That was such a great time, we loved Fidelio and Jeff!!!! :bounce:

Favorite Auntie,

Hi neighbor! Yup, same cruise...sorry we did not get to meet you, I did not realize you were a dis'er.

Yes, we were the foursome from Wakefield that was at Dueling Pianos every night. We really enjoyed their humor and piano playing.

I guess it really is a small world, do you still have family living in Melrose?

I wasn't a diser at the time, just discovered the board a few months ago! My sister still lives in Melrose and my grandmother lives in Greenwood. My best friend is from Wakefield, her dad is Vito Vacca the tailor!

You guys were a riot on the cruise, you definitely kept it lively! Unlike the guy that did the Maine impression....thinking he was funny and the only one that laughed was his wife! Now that is love....

I was there with my friend...two single girls, around 30, by themselves, at a table right near the door....

FIDELIO RULES!!

In June we were on the Magic and caught Fidelio. We had late dinner that usually ran late and only caught a little of Fidelio each night. The crowd was really into it and he put on a great show.

That was in contrast to the first time I saw him a year and a half ago - the crowd was blah - no energy in the room and no matter how hard Fidelio (and Kim I think) tried, it was a painful experience. We caught them during one of the family shows and with all of that kiddie energy in the room - it was very fun and entertaining.

But back to this years Western Cruise. Fidelio was terrific, I didn't care for his partner very much (again) - BUT there was another guy who played after Fidelio - and I'm telling you he is another find. I think his name is Anton. He must drink a ton of coffee before performing because he is fast (and jittery - and tall and skinny - must be the coffee). Different style, every bit as good and entertaining.

These guys made Off Beat a must do for us on this last cruise.

If you are on the Western cruise, be sure to see him on Saturday night as you are headed to Key West. I'm sure that he does "Margaritaville" that evening on all of the western cruises. If the crowd doesn't get in to it, you have a bunch of comotose cruisemates!! He also played a song he wrote about his living conditions on the Magic - it's hillarious - you probably will have to request it.

Oh Fidelio
You made my birthday last year - It was the night Michelle, Dagny and Alex were watching dueling pianos and Jay and I stumbled in. You all sang happy birthday and it was so special.. shoot I was hoping for a redo this December. Where will you go? Any chance you'll be back by then?

Hey Foxy Annie! You actually had a song sung to you by Fidelio?!
Lucky girl!!!!!
Must be the red hair!!!! Okay, I get my dye job before we sail and I will go redder!!!!!

Rae

I was off for a couple days and come back to find "THE GREAT ONE" has posted to our sight. YEAH!!!!! I am so looking forward to seeing and hearing him make that keyboard DANCE!!!

For those that will get to see him if you haven't heard it be sure and ask hime to do his version of "Puff the Magic Dragon" the words are "slightly" different and I was ROTFLOLWTIMY by the time he finished that song. I couldn't wait to share it with my nephew and he still talksabout it and that was from March.

Fidelio - we, your loyal fan club, have a great deal of respect for your talents and cannot put into words exactly what you mean to us. Watch for the "lime green Mickey's" when you get back on ship - thats us.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I get to hear Fidelio again!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that the truth! Once you've heard Fidelio - there's no comparison to anyone else!!!! What a showman! Now imagine if his mother didn't give him piano lessons ---- he might be some frustrated factory worker instead of THE GREAT ONE with a fan club following!!!!!

Let your kids dream their dreams and support them, folks! Someone along the way did that for Fidelio and boy, are we ever grateful to that person!!

Ann, honey, that wasn't Fidelio on our cruise. ;) I know Fidelio, I interviewed him in September of 2000 (Fidelio, you remember that crazy film crew from Dreams Unlimited?) ;)

I would hope that Fidelio would be back this year for our cruise, that would be wonderful! :)
