My daughter just called and was very emotional. She said the ship is beautiful. They did fireworks.

According to the Disney Blog they are planning quite the hoopla for the Christening ceremony.

The Christening Cruise and the first sailing are two different cruises. I thought the Christening Cruise was Jan 19th and the Maiden voyage is Jan 26th. I believe the DIS is on both cruises.

In all seriousness, it is by special invite only. Media, Cast Members, Travel Agents, and other dignitaries I believe.
