Got to start booking today for our Hilton Head DVC stay this June ---(now 9 more nights to go)

Rob, good luck to you also. Hopefully we both get all our nights. We've never had trouble booking day by day, but it is always a gamble. Enjoy Vero, we love it there also.

We will be there June 22, 2008 for a week before WDW. Our kids can not wait. Also remember that if you want to save points you can usually get the 25% member discount for the friday and saturday nights when the point requirements are really high.

Plutofan, we will have to try and meet up while we are there. My DSis and family will also be there. Their boys will be 7 and 3 and my ds is 19. I've never used the member discount for the weekends--I usually try to plan all our DVC stays do they just involve 1 weekend stay to stretch the points out a bit. 2 Fri/Sat stays can be I fussed at my sister last night because she didn't call yesterday to start her ressie. My son wants to do the shark fishing again while we are there. We did this last time and we all had a great time. We caught about 15 sharks (one was a small hammerhead) and 2 large stingrays and it was a blast. This will be my sisters first time to go there.

We have three boys ages 10, 8 and 7. They would enjoy meeting some other kids around their ages. We will have to keep in touch. I will PM you with my personal email address. We have never done the shark fishing. It sounds like you had a great time. We have only done the dolphin exercusion and beach combing. I hear you about the Friday and Saturday nights. We got a discounted cash rate of $333.75 plus tax each night for a two bedroom for Friday and Saturday night versus a point cost of 66 and 99.

Thanks Rob, I have spent so much time on the cruisemeets section in the last year --that crazy thread that is up to 80,000 posts since January I read alot on this section of the Dis, just don't post too often.

I will be trying to book my brother and his family next week at the 7 mo window. I hope it works out. Their kids ages are 6 (girl) and 4 (boy). Trying to make it a big family trip!

Hi..told my DH he should book DBD and he wanted to wait.. so now we have Friday and Saturday the 13th and 14th with DVC discount, which is fine.
We also have a DVC discount for the 15th and 16th, but are on a waiting list for a villa and then did get a villa for the 17th and 18th. The BEST thing is that DH called me just to tell me that I could tell him "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"

Don't you just love the "I told you so's" Hope your waitlist comes through for you. I am really thinking hard about booking at least the Sat night for the member discount, may end up doing the Fri too. 99 is a lot for 1 night.

I was able to book our airfare to Savannah with FFmiles yesterday for all 3 of us. I was finally able to book a ticket for the minimum 25K miles. Haven't been able to do that for a couple of years(seems like most flights just don't take the minimums anymore )

Just completed my day by day for June 15th -20th. Booked a 2 bedroom for myself (43), DW(39), DD(14), DS(12), DS(9), DS(3). Also booked a studio for either my parents or my buddy and his wife and daughter(13). This will be our first trip to HHI, we will be making our first trip home SSR Jan 9-16th. Looking forward to both trips. I hope we like HHI as it will probably be our second "home" as it is drivable from Ohio. See you all in June.

We will be there June 22 -27 with boys age 9, 13, 14 and girl age 5.
Grandpa is not sure if he is going but DIL and I are all set. Grandpa doesn't fly well. The boy age 9 and the girl are looking forward to seeing where their Daddy was born. Daddy was born in Savannah GA so a side trip is planned.
