Just wanted to let everyone know that online check in so far is a great thing!!! Arrived here at noon and our room was ready and check in package waiting for us. Nice and hot here today. Our 2 bdrm villa is sparkling clean so far so good. Taking the kids to the campfire tonight. Oh and when we checked in they gave the kids "fastpasses" for the smores line at the campfire. Just like a ride fastpass it tells them what time to go online to get their smores. I don't know about anyone else but i know we have waited on some long lines at the campfires in years past. Off to the pool I'll check back in tomorrow.

If you are there on Wednesday, be sure to go to the front desk for member gifts. A few weeks ago, they were giving out backpacks and wooden pens.

Just wondering how the campfire went? I would love to hear what it was like and did you enjoy it?

We were there 2 weeks ago tonight and our campfire got rained out. They still had a "campfire" in Community Hall, and the cast members tried to make the best of it (they even had logs with colored tissue paper "flames" in the middle of the room, and the smores were going to be made with Fluff instead of roasted marshmallows), but the singing got a little loud (i.e. which side of the room is the loudest?) and DD5 wanted to leave, and we did.

I wondered how different it would have been if it had not been rained out and had been held outside. I had pictured something a little bit quieter with a few songs and stories. I also thought it would be with B'lou, rather than some of the younger cast members.

I so wish I was there again. We had a magical vacation - I hope you do too!

]Hi everyone! The campfire was alot of fun they did it a little different this year the castmembers were dressed up as pirates. Still alot of fun though. The campfire has always been done by the cast members and not B'lou. I can imagine it must get loud if if has to be done inside because of rain. And thanks for the heads up for the goodies on member wednesday I'll be sure to head to the lodge building that day. Well the boys are off to play golf and me and the girls are off to the outlets for a bit then to the beach.

So last night was star spangled Tuesday. I was actually surprised that the BBQ was not nearly as crowded as the past 2 years we have been here. The pool games were alot of fun and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The castmember Rick ( think might be Rich) has been the DJ every year we are there and he is WONDERFUL!!! he gets everyone up dancing and is a great asset to the HHI resort. Drove into Savannah in the morning and went to eat at the Lady and Sons (Paula Deen's) for lunch...really good food ate wayyyy to much, then we did a trolly tour of Savannah which was nice after eating got to sit and relax. Well today is member day we are off to the beach.

We'll have a weekend in HHI in October (Halloween weekend) and we fly into Savannah, getting in around 10AM on Friday. Would the trolley tour be the "one" tour to take if we can only take one? I figure there's no need to get to the resort before checkin time and it will be our first ever trip to Savannah.

That would be the one I would take - the one where you can get off and then back on at the various stops if you want to.

The on off trolly tour is what I would do. There are appox. 14 different stops where you can get on and off. You have to be back on the trolly by 4:30. Changing the subject a bit...yesterday was member day and at the front desk they were giving out sling backpacks, lanyards, and coloring books. Only 2 more days here and I am really getting a case of addonitis...don't think i"ll be able to sway my DH though he doesn't think we need anymore points.
