Live From Easter Magic Cruise

We are enjoying reports. Thanx for taking time to post. Have you heard if the NFL Draft will be broadcast in the ESPN Zone on Saturday? Would love to see part of it when I'm aboard ship this weekend. Thanks.

I am going to bump this up and combine our threads so we can just reply and post on this one.

Glad you're having a great time! Can you tell me which movies are playing? Leaving in 2 1/2 weeks! Thanks.

What are those things? LOL! Are they scooters or something?

So far the movies have been.......the Piglet Movie, Chicago, Holes, Bringing Down the House, The Recruit and some others that I can't remember right now. I'll check Navigator and post later. Getting ready to do "the Golden Eagle catamaran". See ya later.

Hi Everyone

It's been very busy around here for the past few days so I haven't had the chance to visit the Internet Cafe.

We had good weather at St Marteen and St. Thomas. At St Marteen, we did the See & Sea excursion where you ride an A/C bus from the Dutch side to the French side. On the French side you get on a semi-sub to check out a coral reef. (I'll post more detail on the trip report forum when we get back.)Also we did shopping in Philipsburg. One suggestion here, take the water taxi.

At St Thomas, we went on our own to Megan's Bay in the morning. The afternoon, we did some shopping at the mall next to dock. We also did the cable car up the hill for some pictures. The highlight of the day was when the Magic was pulling away from the dock. The Magic sounded its normal ship horn to advise that we were leaving. Then the RCCL ship sounded its horn in reply. The Magic sounded its horn again and the RCCL replied. This went on a couple of times. The DJ at the Sailway Deck Party
annouced the RCCL was just toying with the Magic when FINALLY the Magic sounded its signature horn blast "When You Wish Upon a Star" The RCCL fell silent.

Today we had some excitment from our normal day at sea. While we were enjoying the Champagne Brunch in Palo, the Captain came on the PA to advise the passengers that the ship had a medical emergency. We diverted to Grand Turk Island where one of the lifeboats took the passenger to the shore to meet an ambulance. I haven't heard what the nature of the emergency was but through my binoculars, it looked like the arm was bandaged. Out of the 2538 passengers on board, I hope that passenger has trip/medical insurance. It will be a costly trip back home if he didn't have it.

Some quick items here. Afternoon Bingo is over $8000. With that much money, I might have to buy a card or two. It's 70's disco down at the Rockin' D. The Captain's Cocktail Reception is tonight along with it being Formal Night at dinner.

I don't know if I will have a chance to post before the end of our Easter Cruise but I will try to post a Trip Report with more detail.

Hey, thx for sharing, sounds like a great cruise!

Han Solo - Thanks for the update. Nice weather, that's great. Hope passenger makes out okay. Enjoy the rest of your cruise. 8 more days for us!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well this is our last day.....we are pulling into Castaway in about 2 hours. Sad to say neither Hans or myself won the 8,000. at Bingo. Two people had to share it. Heck, I wouldv'e shared it with even more!!

The medical emergency turned out to be my head server who was obviously absent at dinner last night. He had appendicitis. They took him off and he is being flown to Miami for surgery. His name is Wise (pronounced Wis) from Thailand.

Booked another cruise for next Easter...it will be going in the other direction, Not going to tell my kids though...I'll let them suffer for a while and dangle it as a reward for good behavior.....although they know me better!

There will be lots of tears from dd15. She met alot of friends, including Hans dd now 14.

Hope you all travelling next week have as wonderful a week as we have had...weather has been picture perfect. I know of just a few pax that were sick...so that was not too rampant.

See you on the boards when I am back in the Jersey Shore.

Can the Tag Fairy bless me now?

I wish I had thought of this earlier. Could you do me a favor? Last week on the Magic we left my son's stuffed cow onboard. Disney Lost and Found says they don't have it. Not sure how they could not because we're SURE he was left in one of our two staterooms. We think he fell below the convertible bed. If you wouldn't mind, would you be willing to leave messages for staterooms 7606 and 7622, asking them to look under the beds? The cow is black and white with a black collar, and his name is "Milkshake". If found, we'd be so grateful to have Milkshake turned into Guest Services. You can imagine how much he is missed!

If I was going to Castaway Cay today, I certainly wouldn't be checking my messages online!

But if you do, this would be such a great favor for us.
Many thanks.

Jan

CPR......FYI....any items found onboard and not claimed is put off the ship when it returns to Port Canaveral and put in a bin in the terminal where you pick-up your luggage. It is not very noticeable but we happened to spot it while we were waiting online to hand in our customs form.

My son left his sandals up on Deck 9 during the week and we kept checking at Guest Service...they never had it but we happened to just look in the bin and they were there in the terminal.
