Thanks for the replies everyone, we really appreciate it. It is nice to end the day reading all your replies and having you appreciate the time away Cass takes to write and post these TR's all up. What a great bunch you are!
As you already know, we didn't get any extra minutes yesterday and haven't been online till tonight. We're at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal and Cass says this is now her favorite hotel to be at. Unfortunately, I have given her my cold and the A/C made me sick again last night, we barely slept and we both got less than an hour's sleep. With customs being at 6am, it sure made for a long day.
Cass will be posting more stuff later tomorrow sometime when she's up to it, she is now sleeping away in the king size bed with her 4 feather pillows. She is very sick, this is the first time I've known her in 9.5yrs to have lost her voice when she is sick. We must have looked like the walking dead at IOA & Universal; heck we could have been great extra's for HHN15 (Halloween Horror Nights 15)!
I've got a bit more energy now with some food in me, I'll be doing some quick laundry and getting her a RPR bath robe since she loved it so much the first time and room service didn't leave one in the room for us this time. You will actually know this before she does since she won't see it till tomorrow morning.
Cass even loves the chairs that are used for the desk and wants to take one home, but I doubt that with the way our luggage is going!
We both have a bunch of things to recommend to
DCL about the cruise and a few critiques; but overall the experience was very positive and I have to hand it to the Disney crew on CC for doing a PHENOMENAL job in cleaning up the Island. The poor island has been hit so many times since our trip in 2002 that seeing that it is remotely the same is a small miracle.
At least we got to have our hammock for a bit, that was the highlight of my day; the sunburnt feet was not so much. BTW: The BBQ chicken on CC for lunch was AWESOME, kudos to the chefs for cooking that up, I loved it!
BTW: We are no more celebrities than any of you here on the DIS, though it was nice to hear that the Captain & Brent were following along I hope that they and everyone else here on the DIS, take the TR for what it really is; a perspective of our experiences and what we value as good/bad service or what our expectations are, which can be quite high. I would hate to have someone lose their job over something we said. Cass and I have said to each other many times, DCL even at its average quality is still sky high compared to our experience on
Royal Caribbean; but I'll let her delve into that more.
I got some things to add in a technical nature but I'll wait till Cass posts first.
St Thomas notes: The Screamin' Eagle tour is awesome, though make sure you wear something to get soaked in. Some stat's I remember are that the boat was made in Austrailia, is aluminum, and has two Cummins Diesel Engines with a 750HP rating total. If you don't mind being soaked, I highly recommend it
Tomorrow if we're well enough: PS at Chef Mickey's at 7pm if I remember correctly; a tradition for us. We'll be watching Wishes from the top of the Contemporary probably regardless as we're staying at WL for the next three days.
I just hope we're well enough by Halloween for
MNSSHP
Well, I best scram, lots to do still and have yourselves a phenomenal night!
