LIve from CSR...first a fiasco, but now I don't want to go!!!

CarolA is one of those problem guests.....CarolA is one of those problems guests.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My dear friend if you ever did get mad they'd never be able to understand what was wrong through your beautiful accent....

I'll make sure I inform the mangers at BW or is BC that you are a problem guest in Dec.....I think I'll make you a button I am one of those problem guests... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wow!! Didn't know I'd create such a controversy!! If my DH or my bestest friends read the post about being 'little miss nice" they'd be having a great laugh as my hubby loves to tell me to 'chill out' and 'not everyone wants to hear your opinion' and my best friend always has to be my voice of reason when I get hot under the collar and want to 'go off' (and I do many times!).

Ya know, getting to be on this vacation was a blessing...many obstacles stood in my way so that from day to day I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make the trip (and a very important one as it is in conjunction with my brohter graduating from HS and bringing one of my best friend's with terminal cancer's little boy to experience the magic for the first time!). It took a lot of work to get us to FLA....I even made the 18 hour drive by myself with 2 10 yr olds!!....I decided I wasn't going to get a bug up my butt because this trip was way too special not only to me but others around me....considering it almost didn't happen. I decided not to scream and yell. I decided that being at my fav place in the world with a slight setback was waaaaaay better than not being there at all (esp because of my friend's son who was in awe!!). I didn't yell or scream...but I did complain and in the end....I got what I wanted...I had a beautiful room with staff that basically fell all over themselves trying to please me, my kids were extremely happy and we had a magical vacation! Isn't that what its all about??? Thanks to all who gave me their support and I apologize for starting such a big ole' controversy!! I choose my battles and decided to win this one without giving myself a heart attack!!

By the way, the margaritas are awesome (maybe cuz its a WDW margarita in a huge hot tub with a great view!!)

We have always had a wonderful stay at CSR.

Sorry you had a rocky start, but it sounds like it has vastly improved!!!!!

Gee.. with friends like you I am DOOMED!!! :rotfl2:

OK guys I admit I over reacted.

I have NEVER in my life been referred to as a problem guest and I let it get to me... I know better then to let ANYTHING anyone says on a message board get to me. (I still think that POWER is a BASIC at ANY hotel... I would have been just as unhappy at the "no tell motel" with NO POWER...... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: but I guess I just expect too much from Disney..II should have taken my dark room and been happy :lmao: ..) I also stand by my IDIOT statement, but you had to be there to see this girl in action. Keep in mind that she did not want me to step away while someone was found to deal with the problem. She wanted me to go back to the room because "there is nothing we can do" Had I walked away that is exactly what would have been done NOTHING!! Sorry, but if you have that little concept of Customer Service you should NOT be in a job where customer service is expected. (The man in line behind me did say LOUDLY.. "I think that woman deserves power in her room, I will wait" LOL! He and I had talked while in line. :lmao: :lmao: )

If expecting power makes me a "problem guest" so be it... I will just have to live with the label..... (I can just see it now... CM pulls up my name WARNING GUEST WANTS POWER IN ROOM)

CarolA--well if expecting power and therefore A/C makes you a problem guest then sign me up for the problem guest program. I would not have gone quietly off into that good (and stinking hot) night either!!

I'm completely with you on this one. I've been thinking about the guy behind you too. He was actually probably getting scared to even get to the front of the line. Just think about it. You got there before him and you didn't have electricity. I wonder what he was thinking that he would end up with. Lounge chair by the pool maybe. :rotfl: :rotfl:

That type of customer service is unacceptable. I believe that anyone would have been upset at this point.

Geez folks, get a grip. Someone thinks that the cast members at the CSR front desk are incompetent. BOO HISS! Someone thinks the CSR mousekeepers are pushy. The HORROR!

Hey, I have an idea! Why doesn't CarolA post a sticky on why CSR guests need to get a grip, and why they should be nice to the poor overworked incompetent CMS working the front desk, and that they have some nerve calling the mousekeepers pushy when they're so underpaid and the CSR guest is overeacting and just not nice at all! :rotfl:

I think the guy behind me was actually afraid that they would give me a new room and give him the powerless one...

:rotfl2: I can understand his fear. I also can understand not giving up your place in line. Once you did that, you could be standing there all night.

We had a room where the phone didn't work. I had no idea my grandson was ill, because when I called my daughter's room from outside, it rang and rang. I assumed they were at the parks. The front desk really didn't care. I said (when I got back and found out it didn't ring) the phone in this room doesn't work. The CM said, yes, we know, it's marked as having a non working phone. Then a blank look. LOL!

Okay...now, just so we're clear...do you also expect to find a BED, working TOILET and running WATER in the room? Clearly you are a problem guest.

Seriously, I would have been frustrated but polite, if I were in CarolA's shoes, until the point where the front desk cast member told me that there was nothing to be done and did not get a manager's assistance. I too would then have refused to move until a manager had been called. Although she vented here it sounds like she handled the situation well.

(Signing off now to go register for the problem guest program)
