Live from BLT! 9/9 - 9/13

Just another quick update: We went to DHS today. It was busier than the MK was yesterday, but still very few lines. We got there around 11:30. Went and got fast passes for TSM. The times were 2:30-3:30, however the standby was only 20 mins :yay: So we grabbed fast passes and headed towards ToT and RnR. Walked right on to the elevator for ToT and waited only 10 mins for RnR. We rode both, several times.

Now we are gonna change for the pool. After that, we have 7:00 pm reservations for Citrico's. We then hope to get back to the ToTW for the fireworks. More pictures to come!

Sounds like a great time to be there crowdwise! Enjoyed your first crop of photos, looking forward to the next.

Update from Day 2:

Dinner at Citricos was very good. Not the best "signature" dinner i've had, but still very good. There are definitely some regular table service dining that is better.

After dinner we hopped the monorail to MK to catch Spectro. LOTS of people for Spectro and wishes. I think since they don't run it nightly right now, people flock to it.

We are going to MNSSHP tomorrow, so we didn't stick around for wishes. We hit Big Thunder Mountain and rode it three times before they closed. The last time we rode it, I was able to snap a picture of wishes from the top of big thunder.

After having some time to really look around the room, we did notice some scratches on the fridge, and a big scratch in the side of the dining table. Other than those scratches, the resort looks brand new. I took pictures of both the scratches. The scratch on the dining table looks worse in the picture than it does with my own eyes.

The other pictures are a few from BLT lobby, Contemporary Lobby, GF lobby and dessert at Citricos. Also Wishes from Big Thunder. Enjoy! pirate:

Overall, I am VERY happy with this resort. The monorail makes all the difference. I feel like we've done almost everything at WDW and have only had to get on a bus twice.

:)Resort looks great! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful rest of your vacation.

Just one question -- does the bathroom only have 1 sink? When my DH & travel just by ourselves and stay in a 1br, we like to have double sinks.

Just one question -- does the bathroom only have 1 sink? When my DH & travel just by ourselves and stay in a 1br, we like to have double sinks.

Both bathrooms in a BLT 1 bedroom have only one sink. But there are two full bathrooms in a BLT one bedroom.

Adam I think you've got a fantastic view from your villa :thumbsup2 - it seems peaceful & secluded too. Great photos too, hope you'll be posting more. Thanks for taking the time to report and have a great trip :goodvibes !!!

Sounds like you are having an awesome time. Your photos are gorgeous. Are you in a 1BR? I'm surprised to see that the balcony is not also off the living room, just the MBR. I find that a bit strange. Are all of the BLT rooms like that?
Yes if you look at exterior photos you can see floor to ceiling windows ( living rooms ) rooms with balconies located directly in front are master bedrooms or studios.

Day 3 Update:

Being on the monorail is so awesome. Did I mention that yet?

Today was Epcot for the morning. We left the hotel around 9:30, hopped the monorail and got to the line for Soarin' at about 10:00. Park had been open an hour so far. Standby for Soarin was 10 minutes, and the fast past return time was 30 minutes. :scared1: We grabbed some fast passes and got in the standby line. We walked right through the line, and pretty much walked right on. We got the "front" row which goes all the way to the top right near the center. It was awesome.

After Soarin we ate some breakfast at the pavilion there. Then used our fast passes for Soarin again. Afterwards we went to Test track. Waited about 10 minutes for that. We decide to walk around the World Showcase and decided to watch the World Showcase players. They were doing a live improv showing of Sir Lancelot. I got picked to be Sir Galahad, Sir Lancelot's trusty sidekick. Got to do some improv acting, got a special button and have lots of fun. Here's a You Tube video of me galloping a fake horse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7O2vNLERK0

I've got the big G on my chest. The other guy with the L on his chest was Lancelot and one of the World Showcase Players. Lots of fun!

We also rode Maelstrom while in Norway to waste some time. Then we headed to China for Dinner at 2:00. Dinner at China was good.

After China it was back to the room to rest up before Mickey's Halloween Party! I decided that no one had taken any pictures of the stuff included in the BLT kitchen, so I opened up all the cupboards and took pictures: http://gallery.me.com/youreverydayadam/100134

We relaxed in the room until about 5:30, then headed over to the MK and got there around 6.

The party was pretty crowded tonight, I thought. However, we were able to walk on all the rides. I got TONS of pictures. Too many to go through right now, BUT there was an AWESOME highlight that I WILL post pictures of. For all your Space Mountain fans, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority reopened today. We rode it. And got photos of the inside of Space Mountain during the refurb. With the lights on! I just set my camera to rapid fire and had it take multiple pictures per second. So some of them are blurry, but you can see what space mountain looks like with the lights on! You can clearly see the track. http://gallery.me.com/youreverydayadam/100141

I will post more pictures of the Halloween Party tomorrow, I have to go through them all. I took 800+ in all. I need to sort through them. They are all of the parades and some character shots.

One of the other highlights of the Halloween Party was that they had some characters on the lawn of the Haunted Mansion. They had microphones so they could talk, and they would chat with you and do improv comedy.

My overall impression of the halloween party is: It is definitely worth doing! I don't think I would do it more than once every 3 years. I like regular wishes better than hallowishes. I also like spectro MUCH more than I liked Boo to You. It was definitely nice for a change of pace, but the various shows didn't seem all that magical. It's definitely worth doing, but it didn't feel "Disney" to me.

It was cool seeing the haunted mansion kind of take over the magic kingdom, see the ghosts out and about on main street, and there was lots of characters to interact with.

Anyway it's past my bedtime and my feets hurt. I'm gonna go try out that jacuzzi tub and hit the sack.

Thanks so much for the updates and pictures - I can't wait until my first BLT stay next month. DGrD(6) and I will be there for MNSSHP - this is her all-time favorite party and she loves everything about it.:thumbsup2
