Actually, I thought the Police were awesome singing Message in a Bottle and John Mayer was playing guitar with them also. Unfortunately things started going downhill when some other singer/rapper-not sure who he was joined them on stage. It was just a mess after that. I guess it was planned, but it sure didn't sound like the two acts should be singing together.:confused3

This trend lately of mixing musical styles doesn't always work so well does it? I wish that they'd just let these people perform without adding more sounds. :confused3

Well, to me this just was not a good match. Now on the other had, Keith Urban and Alecia Keyes rocked. She sounded great and he was awesome on guitar, and is not too hard on the eyes:rotfl:

This is what I liked so much about the concert, actually. It brought everyone together and produced a kind of global sound/message.

We were at the Giants Stadium show, and it was just.absolutely.spectacular. ... it was so far beyond what I had imagined. Bon Jovi brought the house down with Living on a Prayer ... Pink Floyd played the Wall while the white inflated pig floated by our heads ... the Police played "Message in a Bottle" with Kanye West and John Mayer accompanying Sting ... Alicia Keys did a duet with Keith Urban ... Dave Matthews Band played "Don't Drink the Water" while those of us in Section 113, under the boiling sun, discussed how we were all craving water ... Ludacris, Smashing Pumpkins, KT Tunstall, Melissa Etheridge, Cameron Diaz, Kevin Bacon, Leonardo DiCaprio, even Jane Goodall came out and made chimpanzee greeting sounds. If I never go to a concert again, I am complete.

Great concert! Caradana, I am so jealous! :)

I am glad you had a great time!

It received decent coverage by me, but I TIVOed it.
